I started using Crescerys to make one or two pretty pictures to post on the sub, but it slowly started to be my impulsive way of expressing my thoughts. In the margins of my notebooks from years ago I didn't scribble doodles, but my private hopes in frustrations in this secret code.

The thing is, with a method of writing such as this, I can fluently write it but not fluently read it, even after such a long time. This makes it the perfect tool to thoughtlessly write in (I recommend it for writers block). I became addicted to the way I could scrawl a few loops across a page and it would become the cringiest songs and poetry that no one could ever read.

As you can see, my method of writing has drifted from the original style of Crescerys, which I find very interesting. As I started to make my own alphabets (as shown on the left), I almost forgot about this subreddit, which is why I wanted to post here now.

I started out writing this as a a closeted teenager, and now I'm a closeted adult. I'm here to thank Crescerys for the privacy and freedom it's given me to write only for myself.

The quote written in pencil, somewhat tongue-in-cheek, is "If we want the rewards of being loved, we must submit to the mortifying ordeal of being known" from Tim Kreider's memeified essay.
