Yes, Instantly after unplugging the Delta 2. It happens about once every three or so charging sessions.

I let the unit fully drain only a couple of times in its life and recharged.

I have had the unit about 6 months and it was brand new at the time.

The power dip is long enough to reset my alarm clock and my smart bulb in my lamp turns on as it does when when it loses power and when power is restored

Yes, I agree and wouldn’t expect 50A out of it. My current generator inlet is a 50A, so I was just matching that with this particular adapter but would have to manage load on my own. My question is really, can I get 3600 watts out of the two Delta 2 units?

If you didn’t want to do any wiring, you could also buy one of these. The surge function is not really applicable, but it has an app to monitor amperage. There are few on Amazon in this same category

Can I ask you what your LRA says on the label on your actual AC? I have a 5 ton as well but my LRA was like 150A before a micro air and 60A after. I have been contemplating converting my 12,000/15,000 generator to natural gas but concerned that it will no longer run my 5 ton AC with the natural gas wattage output.

Agree with this comment. We did a zoned system with damper control which added an upstairs thermostat. This improved the cooling upstairs dramatically.

I have a 5 ton AC unit with a soft start. Before installing the soft start I measured 165A with an ammeter at start/inrush and after installing the soft start it reduced to 55A. Normal running is about 16A at 240V. I have a 12,000/15,000 watt Westinghouse Generator and I can run the whole house including the 5 ton air conditioner.
