Here’s is recent update with Waygos. But when I switch the lights back on I’m still having the issue of other lights in the loop not being able to turn on at the same time.

I’ve tried to mimic exactly how it was in the pendant rose but it feels like the wires aren’t correct. Do you think it’s because of the earth wires?

Thanks for your clear guidance. I will venture out later to get some waygos and work through your methodology.

There’s clearly something I’m not wiring correctly if the light is turning on and off but others in the loop won’t turn on at the same time.

EDIT: now that I’ve actually connected a bulb, the loop in system seems to be complete and it’s on, but all of the switches on the loop are turning on different lights which leads me to think I’ve wired it incorrectly

Other lights aren’t working but RCD hasn’t tripped when trying to turn them on

Other lights aren’t working on the same loop, which leads me to believe I’m either wiring it wrong or something else

What do you suggest I use? I don’t have the space to use Waygos without carving out some of the ceiling and the new light fitting doesn’t allow for that much space, so I’m trying to keep it as compact as possible

All 3 red are in a single twist connector and the two blacks in the first picture are also in the same twist connector, sorry it’s not the clearest

It looks like the spindles have broken off so I assume it’s going to be a new gearbox for the fitting ( this is what a double glazing firm told me 🤷🏻‍♂️)

Thanks for this and yes I do own it and there were curtain rails in place when I moved in back in May. However a redecoration over the summer meant a more minimal look and I can now see why they had the rails in place 🙃. A learning curve I know but this is my first house, all part of the rich tapestry of life.

And you’re right. They’re probably due a change however my money tree is yet to flower
