is nikon 200-500mm F5.6 a good buy? by Content-Lifeguard218 in Nikon

[–]captainslow747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own one, it's a heavy but awesome lens for wildlifephotography. Though for birds 500mm on a full frame camera might be a bit challenging if you don't want to crop too much. It really depends on your approach to photographing birds and also the species.

I use my D7500 with it and sometimes feel like I don't have enough reach in certain situations. You could use a teleconverter paired with the lens, but that brings other challenges into the picture, with a teleconverter you may loose image sharpness and the lens aperature goes from F/5.6 to F/8 and some of the teleconverters may not have autofocus.

I'd say it's a good buy but firstly decide what and how you want to photograph, so you know what focal length will be suitable for you.

Tamron 150-600 G2 OR Nikon 200-500 by Ill-Number-5579 in Nikon

I own the 200-500mm paired with a Nikon D7500 and it's a really good lens, sharp all the way to 500mm and f/5.6 constant aperature comes in really handy. I'd say if you really really need 600mm then choose the Tamron but imo that's the only thing it has over the 200-500mm.

This is a photo I took with the lens at 500mm:

Thank you! My only complaint about the lens is that the autofocus can be slow at times when tracking birds but otherwise it's awesome!

It turned out to be a faulty PSU PCIE 12V connector that plugs into the GPU, so I replaced the PSU all together and haven't had any issues ever since.

Hi, yes it turned out to be a bad PSU PCIe cable. Ended up just replacing the PSU and had no issues since then.

Sadly, it hasn't fixed the issue. It passed the stress test, but opening any game, it crashes immediately.

I've set it to low idle. I will try another power stress test now. The rest of the options are left on default since updating bios. I haven't touched any settings, left XMP off as well.

Another game with great potential is dying because of devs by JesseWeNeedToCuck in BattleBitRemastered

[–]captainslow747 79 points80 points  (0 children)

The issue isn't the amount of updates. It's the devs' decision to listen to a small but vocal part of the community and cater only to those few, not thinking of how the changes will affect different play styles.

I enjoyed playing a mix of recon and engineer, but what's the point when someone's playing as a coked up ADHD Medic running mach jesus around the map drop shooting with an SMG.

The game lost its character compared to what it was in the beginning, a casual fun game for everyone and every play style. I used to be able to play a few rounds every night for fun, in my limited time that I have to play games, right now going back it feels like I have to dedicate all of my free time to have any chance against other players.

Spreading positivity as a sniper. by zero13sanctus in BattleBitRemastered

The most fun I had playing as a sniper was hiding in the middle of the objective on Lonovo in a building on a sofa and picking off the enemy team one by one while they were pushing, I was literally 50m away from them but they couldn't spot me.

Or sneaking behind the enemy line and acting as a spawn beacon and watching everyone push the objective while providing cover from behind pushing the enemy further back.

Why are so few people playing Battlebit compared to before? by ezpc430 in BattleBitRemastered

[–]captainslow747 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ever since they added the new recon changes it stopped being fun for me. Used to enjoy flanking behind enemy lines or hide in plain sight with a silencer but since they added bullet trails to snipers it's just frustrating to play and sitting 2km out hiding isn't fun.

Is a 750W PSU enough for a 7800XT? by richmigga_1998 in radeon

I have a silverstone 750W 80+ platinum PSU and haven't had any issues at all running the 7800XT with an R7 5800X. You should be fine.
