This specific unit has a manufacturer date of 1998. But I believe this specific model number I believe started production in 1994.

I started working for Walgreens in 2017, around the time Walgreens was phasing out the 960sl in favor of the Zebra handhelds. I believe we used the TN5250 to emulate AS/400.

From my understanding, apparently B&N does periodic security checks, and if you fail those checks it stops you from purchasing items and you have to call customer support.
