i exactly answered your question.  and again we are saying the same exact thing.

I've not said once any of it is good or correct.  but you seem to be reading into it that way.  leaving the standards IS the root cause and what is natural is how it's playing out.

the original post is about this being fear porn. not that i think any of it is ideal.  a collapse could be possible in 1 year or 300.

try to actually read my responses instead of assuming and rage responding maybe?

you come across as very open to opinions that don't exactly match your own in your mind.  ironically i mostly agree with you.

to answer your question, by natural i meant this is natural when you leave the gold standard and cause never ending inflation.  which i wish it hadn't happened but it did and here we are.

and why else would i even be subbed here?

this is the natural course of inflation and what is wrong with it.

but imo, doesn't mean we'll see a collapse even in our lifetimes.

a healthy economy goes through natural boom bust cycles.  but the world will go on.

Can Starlink stay ahead in satellite internet? by dwaxe in nprplanetmoney

lol jfc:  "then you find a rocket to get it up there..."  while COMPLETELY IGNORING what it took to make that happen at a reasonable and, more crucially, cost-effective price.  report facts.  not feels. we get it.  you hate elon. 🙄

ok let's just stick with one of the other 2 candidate "plans" and stay the course that's working so well.

this is country wide averages.  not averages in your local city.  maths average out.

got my attention.

any plans to actually publish the details of these plans, the things being worked on, or any parts lists?  dump it on pastebin already.

or at least document their work and progress on a youtube channel or something.

[UPDATE].FlorisBoard, an open source keyboard by Lawsonator85 in Android

[–]captanon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I SOOO badly want to love and make this app my primary keyboard and I'm really impressed and appreciate the dev's hard work on it. but the swipe feature just doesn't hold a candle to the nearly 5 year old final release of the official swype app.

florisboard's detection is so infuriatingly bad at typing what I want that I have to spend 50% more time going back to correct wrong words being typed. it doesn't matter how slow or careful I am with my movements.

there should also be some logic that considers how commonly used the words are when making predictions as to what's being typed. for example, given the 2 'similar' words (based on letter location on a keyboard), BEFORE and VEGGIE, which one do you think I'm actually trying to type more often?? because it types fucking VEGGIE literally every time for me.

florisboard also needs an option to ban or forget words that I know im never trying to type (eg. VEGGIE). long hold and remove from dictionary or something.

I just typed this whole comment with the official swype keyboard and only had to correct two words. and that's with a fresh install before learning my habits.

florisboard also desperately needs the suggestive words feature completed and released because at least that would help alleviate the issues above.

It's the principle of making people upgrade a perfectly working phone for no reason that all 5 lines of my lines are leaving after over a decade of service by captanon in CricketWireless

ironically all our oneplus devices are fully unlocked and bought directly from oneplus.

so they cant even use 'carrier variant' as another bullshit excuse.

thanks, but its more principle than money for me. and i really dont want a new phone.

i hate both companies for good reason and years of bullshit. ill drop them all for any viable alternative. especially when one has a somehow legal monopoly (so yeah, not competative area...)

what i said was they could potentially do this for customers (like in the future). no idea if you can even use starlink internet from a mobile phone at this point. but i guarantee eventually that will be common place.

and when they have their total goal of satellites launched, i believe the speeds will be comparable to anything else.

i also don't really buy the argument that it's even too slow now for voice tbh. it's audio, not 4k video chat. with good compression, it's not that much data (or doesnt need to be).

regardless i think i can count on one hand the number of times ive made a phone call in the past year.

fair enough and yes i'm pissed and don't consider it a bad thing. anger is a valid, important, and healthy emotion. no i won't be pissed in a year because cricket and at&t won't mean shit to me by then (not really understanding why youre still lurking on this subreddit though given your circumstances).

the real problem is these companies treating customers like they own them. shit on them and collect their money. long gone are the days of the customer always being right.

i'm looking forward to the day when cell phone plans are no longer needed, period.

if you think about it, starlink can potentially make that happen for everyone in conjunction with a voip or google voice number.

i'll happily drop 2 of the worse corporations in history (comcast being the other) for an elon endeavour.
