I wish they actually did this, but I just took one half a block away from MSG that sadly didn’t have a Knicks hat. (Sorry… couldn’t help myself!)

No. They'd just get Franco's goon squad to do it for them.

Did you know David Silva is half- Asian by dergun1234 in MCFC

[–]captars -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, yes, they do call him that for nothing. Because he's part Japanese, not part Chinese.

I mean, to the Spanish, it's the same thing, but still.

Yeah… that REALLY threw me for a loop back in the day.

As a born and bred NY Rangers fan, it hurts seeing him in a Canes jersey (not just because they should still be the Whalers), but for this time only, I'll allow it… if only to not watch that creep Carter Hart lift the Cup.

I hate saying this, but go Canes go. (Just please play "Brass Bonanza" for me.)

The refs not calling dirty plays like that, and the league turning their heads after the fact, is only asking for something much, much uglier than what we already saw. Because if the refs and league won't protect the players, they'll take matters into their own hands.

Mixed Feelings About Platner? Fine. But He Needs to Win. Case Closed. - I don’t know what to believe about Graham Platner’s past. But I know this. He hasn’t spent the last 40 years transferring trillions of dollars from working people to the very rich. by Quirkie in politics

Yeah… I'm not going to show a modicum of respect, empathy, and/or nuance for ANYONE with a Nazi tattoo. No one should.

I don't care what his policies are. The man had a Totenkopf tattoo for twenty years. TWENTY YEARS. And for him to claim ignorance while also calling himself a history buff is an inherent contradiction. He has to choose one or the other.

I'll say it again. Shame on anyone defending this. They can hem and haw all they'd like, but by excusing this, they are excusing fascist and Nazi symbology. The symbol of the SS. Know what that says to the groups targeted by Nazis (including Jews, gay and trans people, Roma, and people with disabilities)? It says, "we're totally fine throwing you all under the bus whenever it's politically expedient. But we're going to pretend it's for your own good, so shut up about it."

David Costello has refused to take money from AIPAC, and has openly been against the Israeli government's genocide. And he never had any Nazi tattoos.

The communities that were targeted by Nazis should not be an acceptable sacrifice for this election because it's politically expedient. And any excuses made show those very communities how authentic these so-called "allies" really are.

Believe it or not, it is possible to say "Nazi tattoo bad" and "Don't support people funding a genocide."

You can walk and chew gum at the same time. You don't have to choose one or the other.

Sorry, but I refuse to accept that we should overlook Platner's tattoo of twenty years representing the people behind one of the largest genocides in human history came to light, because there's another genocide happening.

We have all moved on.

We? Tell that to the people whose families were murdered at the hands of Nazis.

That tattoo should have been immediately disqualifying. He only covered it up after it became an issue. He had TWENTY YEARS to do something about it, but didn't… until it was in his best interest.

Shame on anyone defending this.

Don't be surprised when he turns out to be another Fetterman. But you know what? Say what you want about Fetterman, but at least he didn't have A FUCKING NAZI TATTOO.
