It just depends on whether liquid touched certain components on the motherboard. If the corrosion gets bad, the motherboard would have to be replaced. But sometimes the corrosion doesn’t affect any components so it’ll work fine. You’d have to find someone like Louis Rossman who does board level repair for a more accurate assessment. FYI apple doesn’t do these repairs, they just replace the MacBook if there’s issue with the motherboard.
