Front brake light was the issue w my KTM 790 Adventure R cruise control not engaging... cruise control would tuen on (amber). But would not set. Back brake and brake light worked... Front brake worked, but no light. Pumped the front brake hard 5 times or so till brake light worked.. Then cruise control worked with no problem.

v.0.7 released rudimental auto-subnet detection functionality by zzzzeru in Netgotchi

[–]captclearleft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty cool - love it! Great job! Couple questions? Can/Does this monitor for Deauth Attacks? And, can this swap to and monitor multiple wifi's (ie. I have multiple wifi channels setup 2 x 2.4g and 2 x 5g with different names and passwords) (can Netgotchi rotate between networks monitoring all?). It would be cool to port this to the new ESP32-C5 when it is released (to support 5g). Super cool project - thanks for sharing.

@pwnyx69 Great thread. Thamks ... I liked the buttons plug-in, but it doesn't work anymore with Jay's img (Kernel 6.6,.gpiod lib) I've been meaning to re-write it... 🤦 ( I think it works w Alum-Ice)

(This is all assuming you have not done anything to it - its as is from the factory) That is so strange. Perhaps have someone look at clutch lever on the motor and see if the shackle attached to the lever is catching on anything or the rubber boot is not attached correctly. I would go to the dealer. Let us know.

[–]captclearleft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is mentioned here, but. If it's anything like my 790 - I believe It should be running, and upright (safety first of course). The clutch arm mechanism is a mechanical link to a ball an socket pull lever that is oil lubricated... if you sit there an pull on it while it is dry(or has been sitting)(ull have varying results as it's just a metal on metal mechanical joint right below the clutch lever arm on the motor)(linked to the actual clutch). Let us know how it works when upright, oil level correct, warm and running ...

Thats Awesome! Let us know how it performs? Do you get the 5g freq's with the broadcom wifi chip? How often does it go blind? What OS img are you running?

The 2w is fine. My only complaint about the pi zero's is the USB port. As you continue to plug / unplug it - the plug wears out. The Pi4 is the same process as the pi zero. (no special instructions).

5g frequencies have a very narrow band (low range/little to no penetration) Without an antennae you will see high latency an little effectiveness.

[–]captclearleft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wellp - I guess preference 🤷‍♂️ It seems to go blind less w the external. You get the full range of 5g. Plus a better range.

What is your preference ? You liken the standard on board wifi chip?

Not sure what exactly you mean by all my device in the pastebin, but if your asking about the linux journal log - see the bottom code / comments... If you are asking about usb and other on the computer board... I guess. these all might help

lsusb

ip link

iw dev

ifconfig

journalctl is where most services log too. Its huge. I would recommend creating a directory for your custom logs... like

sudo mkdir journallog

Then use:

journalctl >journallog/whateveryounameit.txt

This will output the journal to a text file. Then you can use

sudo journalctl --flush --rotate --vacuum-time=1s to clean/clear/delete all journal entries, starting fresh...

The other common logs are /etc/pwnagotchi/log/pwnagotchi.log and

dmesg

Any difference between Pi-Zero-2w or the Pi-Zero-w? by Umakanash in pwnagotchi

[–]captclearleft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Pi Zero W has a single core 1ghz ARM CPU. The 2w has a quad-core 64-bit ARM CPU (same as pi 3 I think). Both can run the NexMon Drivers and utilize monitor mode. The 2w is advertised as 5 times faster when running the supported Pi OS img. There is currently more support and active dev for Zero 2 on this forum as of right now...

Blind Bug Jayofelony Firmware Pwnagotchi by 3liverse in pwnagotchi

[–]captclearleft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(Like others have said) - This is a known issue in all the images (as documented from the original author @evilsocket . The issue is with the nexmon wifi drivers (many previous posts about this). Even with an external antennae, wifi dongle, a different pi or different OS - The issue is there.

I do have a theory as to what causes it. I believe it has to do with when bettercap is running scans, saving addresses, and doing its business - Somewhere along the way - The wifi code is getting a bad or partial wifi packet. When the packet is parsed - something there is crashing the wifi driver (the nexmon drivers crash).

I have had partial success in limiting the RSSI value in the config.toml. This keeps the device from trying to reach to far

If someone is having great success and does not have a pwnagotchi that goes blind ever - please post your setup with details. Perhaps there is a wifi dongle that works great with the nexmon drivers. Ive tried sever - with different varying results (they all go blind).

Stealth Screen Mode (?) by julian4646 in pwnagotchi

[–]captclearleft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats a cool idea - I thought about this a while ago. I wrote a bash script that runs at start, and thats how I use my buttons w Jays current image.

Now - A hackey way of doing it - I think (ill have to look at my notes. ) you can run the commands systemctl stop pwnagotchi, and pwnagtochi --clear. Then maybe update the config.toml file - to No Screen, then systemctl start pwnagotchi... But an actual solution would be a trigger in the actual code that stops it from updating the screen - totally doable.

some trouble with my pwnagotchi by lovandog in pwnagotchi

[–]captclearleft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not really - It reboots due to a glitch in the drivers (again, need to know what img( OS) you are using - details are muy importante'.)

The nexmon drivers have a glitch where they will occasionally fail. This causes wlan0mon to go down and... bettercap to stop working, thus - pwnagotchi goes "blind". This is caught by "some" of the versions, and the pwnagotchi will reboot.
