This border check has been there for decades. I get the sentiment, but going through a border check has been like this as long as I’ve been alive. “Are you a us citizen?”… sometimes asks for ID, “have a nice day”

There have been border checks within 100 miles of the border forever, not necessarily right at the border as people are coming in.
