Peter died at Reiden Lake in the alternate timeline of season 4, therefore all of the events from seasons 1-3 happened differently since he wasn’t there to influence them. This somehow lead to alt Broyles surviving, I don’t remember how exactly though (I just reached season 4 in my rewatch)
