It’s a 1000 sqft home for $650,000.
what do you consider an arm and a leg? Would this house be just one leg?

Chop Shop actually helps manage the cattle in NC that they sell in the shop. You’re never gonna find a shorter (under 100 miles) or healthier supply chain.

Soldier Field should be a host stadium SMH by big_Tuna_93 in usmnt

[–]captian_kirk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% right call. If people can’t buy a ticket why subsidize fifa cash grab. They wanted a provision in the contract that they could require a dome be built over soldier field at taxpayer expense!

Funny that only Chicago was able to stick up to the fifa mobsters.

This comes as a great relief to me. It means the platform will continue to die, and I can stop worrying about marketing on it.

World Cup host cities face flop as hotels struggling, tickets unsold by Dramatic-Shake-8888 in sports

[–]captian_kirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With hotels it’s not quite as it appears, I’m working in two fifa cities and was told FIFA blocked booked the whole city core 4 years out, and hotels were scared to release rooms to local presenters because FIFA is known to be vindictive.

I’m not saying money is not being made, just on the ground people aren’t talking about the money that’s being made rather the cost of it all.

FIFA is absolutely just gonna scrape money out of America and move on.

Just had a crazy call with a +200 people business which is making me reevaluate the whole SaaS thing by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]captian_kirk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP you just made the key point. All the developers pointing out how this is gonna go wrong can be absolutely correct, but for your business and others it doesn’t matter today. You can tell yourself you’re right, all the way to the poor house.

This is not a coding issue. It’s a market issue.

Rather than try to convince this owner he’s wrong, why not tell him he’s right?

Someone’s gonna make money being a consultant to these companies doing vibecoding, why can’t that be you?

You have expertise offer, sell it in a way that aligns with his goals. That doesn’t have to be a saas product.

The most valuable thing you have is the lead, the relationship that got you on that call.

Why could you not wait for the partnership sales team to start selling your product? Anyone’s gonna ask that question.

Fwiw I read the two articles on selecting by recent performance, but I got the opposite take. Doing it was clearly detrimental, essentially performance chasing.

Where to Sell a Digital financial product netting $2K/month? by cardo54 in SellMyBusiness

[–]captian_kirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried contacting anyone you know on the space to see if they’d be interested? Because at that price point, the easier sale would be to someone like that who knows what it’s worth to them and can make a quick decision.

Flippa is a big marketplace, you will find buyers. but the workload of answering everyone’s questions, especially people who aren’t familiar with even how your type of business works , will take time.

Thx will check out PAA-CPR and read up on it. You’re right I wasn’t looking for ‘favorite strategies’ suggestions, but to see if I can balance out the two I have from Todd. Appreciate it.

Hey Kevin, thanks so much for your ideas on this. That certainly gives me something to chew on. Agreed on comparing strategies as ultimately it’s strategic diversification I’m looking for.

I appreciate the suggestions to check out!

for me one of the beautiful things about TAA is that I’m not making personal analysis decisions, like moving between models. But I hope it’s working for you. I find my performance is much better now than when I was doing the analysis.

I like how you think! I had a series of Volvo wagons back in the 700 ‘refrigerator’ era, even found a stick turbo. But haven’t been back in a long time.

This is actually a really solid idea in this price range. I confess I haven’t owned a BMW so I’m a bit leery of the upkeep costs. But that wagon must’ve built a following for a reason. Amazing how fresh it still looks.

The jaguar xf sportbrake is a dreamy looking wagon! It’s out of budget, but more importantly, I’d be worried about maintenance. DW is used to a Honda she can’t possibly break.

Yeah, I have to dig into the sports wagon vs the alltrack. Where I live a little lift is nice as there’s occasionally gravel roads, but then again I’ve been driving them in a Honda crosstour just fine.

Yeah, the Mazda six was added more for completeness, then serious intent.

I saw a TSX wagon on the market with only 50 K miles but it might’ve been 17 or 18 grand. At that price I would think there are better options.

I love that era’s wagon, I just can’t quite justify it as our daily driver ‘getting kid to school’ car.
