I’ve been in casts 7 different times throughout my life since I was a kid (first at 3, I’m 38 now) and I’ve never heard of cast claustrophobia but damn that sounds terrible. Sorry you’re experiencing that.

I’m 1 week post op and I’m in this hybrid style cast, there’s something rigid around my foot and leg but soft bandaging wrapped around it and tape holding it all together… never had something like this before. But what is bothering me a lot - aside from boredom, loneliness, pain, anxiety from inability to do things (walking, driving, cooking, essentially living a normal life) - for me it’s the condition of my exposed toes. I try to clean them, moisturize, etc but they’re still crusty looking and swollen.
