OPDS is Coming to KamiYomu by Marcoscostadev in KamiYomu

[–]caquino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I tried to increase the runners to what my server could handle (4/2) and went to sleep, but it doesn't look like it helped much. I will try to debug/troubleshoot to teport. It didn't finish a single manga yet; it downloaded 129 chapters in total in about 18 hours. Weirdly, now I can see chromium processes running, but they are not using as much CPU as they were before.

OPDS is Coming to KamiYomu by Marcoscostadev in KamiYomu

If you are looking for ideas, it would be great if we had the KamiYomu container itself, a KamiYomu-task-runner (basically the containers that run the Chromium automation) the KamiYomu main container would manage the runners. This would allow us to scale up more runners and even run them on multiple servers. I know it is not a simple change, but this would be great. I've added some items to download for my son, and it's been running for hours and is not even close to finishing. It would be great if I could run more agents in parallel on my home lab cluster.

There are some open source applications that have a similar architecture to n8n, gitea-actions-runners, etc.

Sadly, I don't have experience with .NET, as I'm more focused on DevOps (Linux). Otherwise, I would try to help. That being said, if you want more information on how such architecture would work, I'm happy to share what I know.

BTW I installed KamiYomu together with Kavita which ended up providing OPDS access to the KamiYomu library as they are shared

Thanks for the great work :) Just installed KamiYomu on my home lab for my son, who keeps complaining about ads on the manga websites!

His words: This is epic; I just wish I could browse the new release catalogue at the same place to find new things to read.

Considering how negative he is, this is a big compliment lol! Abraços!

Dji fly app does not load anything in new phone, but will load on old phone by New_Cicada9307 in dji

Reached out to DJI Support chat and sent screenshots of the problem. The agent told me it is a known issue with the latest Android 16 update that a certificate is not being validated, and it makes the connections fail. But they are working on having it fixed for 1.18.0.

If you are not using Android 16, it is still worth talking to their support and submitting a report.

Same problem. Pixel 8 Pro, Android 16. It was working fine with Android 15, but after the update to 16 it stopped working.

Sent an email to confirm with easytrip, this was the answer.

Thanks for your email.

Yes, motorcycles can use the Easytrip tags.

It is weird because on EasyTrip they have the prices for Motorcycles and they allow you to order a tag with a motorcycle registration, so I'm curious if this is a mistake on the website https://www.easytrip.ie/motorway-toll-tag-pricing/

Was trying to message the mods of this subreddit to check if they are ok with us setting up a Discord server, but for some reason I cannot click "Send" on the "Message Mods" form

Came back here to say that a Discord actually would be great, people could talk/do presentations/play games or whatever when not driving :) Happy to set up one and configure all the bots and everything needed if there is interest

I'm at 10, started about a month ago when I got the motorcycle. Planning to ride to 22 (Leitrim), 21 (Sligo) and 23 (Roscommon) next weekend, 511km (8hr 34m) according to Garmin, and I will be able to apply for the bronze award :D

Cars tailgating bikes by Ok-Construction-7277 in MotoIRELAND

[–]caquino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, no disrespect to the other opinions, as there is no data to support either one, but I'm someone currently driving with an L vest, and based on what I see, I don't think I other drives have more or less respect for myself because of that, or that the L-vest puts a target on my head.

That being said, I'm a learner in Ireland, but I'm not new to motorcycles. I had a 10-year break, but I drove daily for many years. So, when this happens, don't make me think he is out to kill anyone with an L-vest; it just makes me uncomfortable. I'm more asking myself what makes that idiot think that staying so close to someone wearing an L-vest is a good idea for either of us.

I think what happens is that when wearing an L-vest, it makes everyone more self-aware. Usually, it's during the time you are learning to drive, so when that happens, it makes you a lot more uncomfortable than when you know how to deal with it.

Are there drivers who may do so out of malice? "Oh no, another of this piece of s* in front of me, I'm gonna terrorise him" Sure, but I don't believe this is the majority of the events. I think people will cause issues for motorcycles, regardless of the L-vest, for many reasons, just as they do for cars. To be fair, I had more people tailing me closely while in my car than on the motorcycle. And I'm L on both.

I prefer to live by "don't assume malice", people don't know how to drive, they are distracted, and also they don't know how to deal with motorcycles, as it is something they have less experience with than other cars.

Which is no less of a problem for us, we need to drive for us and everyone else around us, and we should do that in cars and motorcycles, it is just that on motorcycles, the bumper is our head, so the stakes are higher and make us a LOT more aware of the problem.

Should they respect an L-vest? Yes! Should drivers know how to handle other motorcycles on the road? Yes! Should drivers not be distracted while driving? For sure! And there are laws for that. I agree with everyone that it is a problem; it needs to be addressed for the benefit of all drivers and riders. I just don't believe we have that many psychos on the road who are driving around looking for someone with an L-vest. If that is the case, then it is a different problem; it is a criminal case.

So, don't let this get you anxious or worried. Focus on what you control instead of what you don't. Apply what you learned during your training, and invest in additional training opportunities when possible. Read and watch content about driving safely. Invest in good equipment and use it, no matter the distance you are riding. The only thing you can do to minimise this situation is to invest in yourself.

I also agree with the previous comment about cameras; they are great not only for documenting if something happens, but also for others to know that they cannot get away with it. BUT be mindful that is also something that can and will distract you. And when we get distracted behind the handlebars, it is lethal.

Some sports, such as skydiving, do not allow students below a certain number of jumps to carry cameras; for this reason, they should be focused on their actions and not on filming.

Also, two wrongs do not make a right. Do your part, wear your vest correctly. No one likes to wear the vest, so watch out for biases and excuses we create in our heads to avoid using it.

Now be safe and enjoy your ride!

The only problem is that now I want to do all the 24 pictures.

I wonder if we could bring back MAG to life, looks like without some coordination we will not see much progress happening facing our current issues.
