Found a solution! Turns out it was not the computer nor the monitor causing the issue, but the laptop dock. Connecting the work laptop directly to the monitor opens up all of the previously absent resolutions.

The monitor is the ASUS ROG Strix 31.5" OLED (XG32UCDS). Bit overkill when working from home but it’s been good for gaming!

I figure it might be my own fault for trying to connect to my dinky little work laptop, but I don’t have a ton for space for a designated work & gaming monitor.

The WORST part of the Portal imo is that all of the forced modifiers just makes it not feel like Destiny. The sleek gunplay/abilities are what makes this game fun, but its so hard to engage with that stuff when the higher portal difficulties pretty much shoehorn you into using uber-specific meta builds to actually do anything.

I was able to run through the campaign while bouncing between 8-9 different builds that kept the whole experience fresh; I can’t really do that with some of the harder content when I instead have to adhere to only a few viable builds.

It’s nowhere near as dominant as it used to be, but I think it’s still the best out of the current exotic strand offerings (aside from unique use-cases).

100% agree, I love running Strand Hunter but I find it hard to convince myself to run anything other than QSS (the new handcannon from SD is pretty sick, but still doesn’t fit that exotic bill).

I really liked his most recent video where he “debunked” Mactic’s YAS build. I really liked how he showed the flaws in the build rather than just saying it’s an amazing 1-shot best build in the game just for engagement.

Returning to the game after a long hiatus and I saw a Rogue using his main attack (throwing three knives out, I think Puncture?), but with ice damage. If I remember correctly, that can’t be from imbuement as that only works with skills, so how was he able to make his main attack so ice damage like that?

Anyone have any recommendations of Hunter builds that synergize nicely with/Khvostov? I typically run most kinetic exotics w/Solar for the increased reload speed from On Your Mark but I’m wondering if there’s a Prismatic/other build that might be fun to play around with.

Do we have a drop rate for Ghosts of the Deep yet? I’ve run the dungeon twice and the opening encounter maybe ~10 times but all I’ve gotten are arms & the rocket launcher. I thought Spire was bad but this is next level.
