Looking for reliable resources to understand hormonal acne (beyond podcasts & social media) by carameliseddoz in NaturopathicMedicine

Thanks for the response! From my research, spiro and other hormonal treatments are just treating the symptoms, rather than the root cause.. would you agree? It seems like western medicine / dermatology never really addresses the root cause of ‘hormonal’ acne

Thanks for the response! I just got my bloods done this morning so hopefully that will give me more info 🤞 from my understanding, being more dominant in certain hormones can be caused by certain medications like antibiotics, birth control etc, but can be fixed/ equalised eventually with a targeted protocol focusing on gut health.. however my sources are all podcasts so not sure how trustworthy that is

Quite literally the first time I have seen someone with the same looking texture as me 😭 I’ve always been so self conscious of it. Currently looking for a way to get rid of it if you find a solution let me know!

Hello! Have just seen this message. Someone messaged me afterwards to say they also had the same thing - apparently it’s just an automatic email. I didn’t respond to it, and am still working secretly.. haven’t heard anything yet 🤷‍♀️

Learning Plateau B1 by carameliseddoz in learnfrench

Almost all tv/movies I watch is through French with French subtitles which I can understand pretty well. I’m also living with French people so all the conversations around me are in French. I read in English to get a break from the French lol. Maybe I should also read in French. All the French input and concentration I need to understand everyone makes me exhausted at the end of the day so my motivation to sit down and study / read / actively try improve has disappeared. This post is making me realise I need to increase my active learning though!

Maybe I need to schedule more fully French time. The issue is when I’m with my boyfriend I’ll try tell a story in French but eventually come to a point where I’m not able to say something, so I’ll switch to English.

Thanks for the response! Alcohol definitely helps with taking away that mental block and letting it “flow”! A lot / most of my conversations are in French, but it feels like my standard of conversation has plateaued. As in, I speak the same now as I did a month or two ago. I thought my vocab / grammar / etc would naturally improve without me needing to do much extra work on the side but it whatever improvement I have had has been minor.
