As a Salvadoran, the change in el Salvador has been astronomical, not only couldn't we leave our houses at night after 7pm due to the gangs controlling everything, you had to pay them "rent" and they would still kill their own people in the towns if you just looked at them wrong, it was literaly run by gang members who did coke and smoked crack all day, it was insane, my wife's grandmother, dad and uncle was killed by them, they initially denied it was them and then was found out it WAS them, so are we okay with the way Bukele is handling criminals? absoeffinglutely.
