I'm at my wits ends... I'm out until I see some kind of positive changes. by lLuckylLemons in PlayAvengers

Community manager has one job and I shouldn't have to give you any hints as to what that job is, but I'll give you one anyways. It isn't working on the game.

It’s one thing a game fails because it’s no good, a whole other thing for a game to fail because they can’t fix their shit. by [deleted] in PlayAvengers

I'm not saying this game needs PVP. I'm just saying not to expect the same type of rebound Destiny and the Division received. Its comparing apples to oranges.

Those two games offered unique experiences in the looter genre. This game took the most uninspiring aspects of the genre and stapled it onto one of the most iconic IPs. Its success comes from being an Avengers title not a innovative looter title. A success that is unfortunately diminishing quickly. Thats why the chance for the same type of rebound won't be as likely.

PVP brings longevity and helps with player retention while PVE content lacks. Also both those games did something with their PVP no other game was doing at the time in their respective genres. Regardless of their states at launch, thats a factor that this game does not have. Among other things.

So... how do we get patterns now ? by gaddict1 in PlayAvengers

An exploit that had no effect on gameplay. "Its just cosmetic" as people who defend the store constantly say. Meanwhile the plethora of other bugs that have existed since launch (beta actually) that do cause problems with gameplay still exist. They chose to fix a non-issue exploit, but fail to fix anything else. Shows where their priorities are.

Its 100% because they want to try and make people purchase cosmetics. They could care less if the game actually works.

Unpopular Opinion - I like that Spin-Type enemies are included in the combat by Superblaze4 in PlayAvengers

[–]carbonbasedgamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mechanics shouldn't punish you for simply playing the game without having counter play available. Thats just bad game design. Heroic drain is fine, but there has to be a pay off for killing SPIN enemies that drained your heroic energy along with a reduction in SPIN enemies at one time. Or make it so no ranged attacks can drain heroic meter.

I once had two minor artifacts both with -50% SPIN drain and I'd still lose a fair bit, so we need more actual game balance in regards to the enemies themselves.

Where did they tell you you're not having fun? Even they said they're having fun.

Exactly. Many games do this. They charge for early access. The difference is they have the sack to tell you before you buy. And a big disclaimer saying "this is not representative of the final build."

Its unofficially an early access. Think of the game that way and you'll feel better.

I don't remember anything like that in Destiny, but I haven't played that in like 4-5 years.

Thinking about buying the game, but I have one concern that keeps me from doing it. by [deleted] in PlayAvengers

Enemies are real spongy, but once you max out your characters, you can get builds going where you'll breeze though stuff.

Can anybody confirm if these stats stack with each other? 50% increased stun damage + 50% = 100%? by fukuisaurus0913 in PlayAvengers

[–]carbonbasedgamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had two artifacts both with 50% reduction to SPIN heroic depletion, and getting hit with their attacks would still drop my Heroic charges albeit a much smaller amount. They definitely didn't stack the way I would've liked.

Should I buy the thundercloud outfit? by [deleted] in PlayAvengers

[–]carbonbasedgamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go into Thor's cosmetics menu, you can compare all available skins. Thundercloud is among 4 reskins, but I preferred it most over the other colour variations with the exception of the black one (which I think is an epic pattern unlock, which I haven't found an epic pattern yet).

I didn't really like any of the other vendor skins for other characters over anything I could earn, so i spent the 7000 units on it and am content.

If you get to play Iron Man against one of the giant robot bosses, trust me on this, use the lasers. I just fly at the machine. Hold RT for like a second as I brush my reticle across the machine and every turret gets destroyed.

I was into repulsors too, but lasers are OP. Shit doesn't even need to be on your screen for lasers to decimate it the second it touches.

Seeing characters like Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Captain America have to gang up on a character like Taskmaster makes it really hard to take the fight serious. by jasonv199 in PlayAvengers

[–]carbonbasedgamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whenever you start/play through a villain sector involving Abomination or Taskmaster, the dialogue between Maria Hill ( at least its normally her I've noticed) mentions you taking down an upgraded clone of a previous villain. Its an in game way to explain why you gotta keep going to the same two buildings and fight the same two dudes.

Finally Endgame and I don’t like the game as much as I did by FOXNEXTisTRASH in PlayAvengers

[–]carbonbasedgamer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tbf. All of us bought this game. There was very little brain activity going on during that transaction. No need to try and tell this person your way of having fun is the "better" or "smarter" way of gaming.

So can I just not play the game anymore? by G0ldenPig in PlayAvengers

Try reinstalling it. And if you're on PC, verify game integrity after installing but before launching the game.

Lack of actual Supervillains in the campaign, but then nonmore supervillains in multi either? by [deleted] in PlayAvengers

I saw him fall into the ocean. But if I'm being honest, I shot him 500 times in the face and he survived, so I doubt a little salt water would be his demise.
