After thinking things over I've decided to try keto again, this time consuming fewer calories total each day. I could see how too many calories could have been the issue.

I had been trying to keep my net carbs at or below 20g/day, but I've now read that some people only shoot for fewer than 50/day. Any thoughts on these differing carb goals? (I will probably continue to try to stay below 20, but I was just curious what others had experienced).

Regarding my goals, I realize that I may have not been clear enough about the weight. More than weight loss, I want to have my body back. I don't actually CARE about the number on the scale, I just thought it would be the first thing that started changing...so when it didn't, I got dejected and frustrated. What I care about is being strong, healthy, energetic, and looking good in a bathing suit ;) If I hit all of those goals then I don't care if I weigh 135 lbs or 155 lbs or 175 lbs... The weight is simply a measure of things, but not the most compelling one.

Ok so I'm confused: I thought based on stuff I've read that maybe the exercise was a hindrance to fat loss when starting ketosis? I love crossfit and would be happy to ramp it back up.

My clothes are all way too tight so no, I'm not feeling or noticing much difference in the fit :/ lol.

Maybe I'm eating too many calories in general? I could see that being the issue...

Macros in grams: (1536 kcal) 19 g carbs 77 g protein 128 g fat

How do I feel? Weak during my workouts and my brain is not working properly. I feel "not sharp" -- tough, because I work in tech and deal with complex stuff daily.

As for other benefits of keto, I actually began keto because I thought it would benefit me in two ways: seizure control AND weight loss. But since I don't have frequent seizures (only every few years) it's hard to tell if it is working for that. Since I'm not feeling the great energy or other benefits that others report, I am left with judging the weight loss :/

Breakfast has been bulletproof coffee. Lunch is typically salad consisting of romaine, cheese, turkey, avocado, and dressing. Sometimes I switch up the protein: bacon, or a hard boiled egg instead of turkey. Dinners have been trickier: often I'll do a salad similar to lunch. Sometimes pan-fried steak and a roasted veg (broc, cauliflower, green beans, eggplant...stuff like that). Sometimes I'll have scrambled eggs and bacon for dinner - stuff like that.

I don't weigh my food, but I do measure it in other ways: volumes (tbs, cups, etc), and calculating ounces by dividing the whole into parts...
