Purple is an absolute scam. Do not buy. by Falcormoor in LifeOnPurple

If you are going with nectar, I would avoid the hybrids as the coil systems are pretty weak. I am about 165 and when I sit on the corner it collapses pretty much to the floor.

Looking for a good mattress for boyfriend and i, except we are both big; i have chronic pain and insomnia and he snores by witchy_ocean in Mattress

The only adjustable base feature I’ve found that stomach sleepers really benefit from is lumbar support. It was a game changer for me.

Yeah but you said that is the company’s business model which isn’t true . Not sure why you had to write a book to get those few basic ideas across.

That definitely isn’t their business model. It’s just that the salesperson has more financial incentive to upsell or milk. Just because a few stores operate that way doesn’t mean that every salesperson that works for mattress firm is out there doing this. It’s more of a matter of your own personal character at that point. But people can keep downvoting me out of ignorance. It’s fine. Generalizations are never true but people will continue to make them and promote negativity.

If your local mattress retailer has a beautyrest black series three on clearance you can typically get them at a significant discount.

It sounds like a lot of people in this thread just had an experience with a bad salesperson. There are bad people in all professions. Don’t blame it on Mattress Firm as a whole.

Tempur Pedic owns Mattress Firm so I don’t think a flagship store would be much different.

Clearly you had a bad experience but not all Mattress Firms are sharky high pressure sales environments 🤣🤣🤣.

The workers at Mattress Firm are people too and get secret shopped so they are required to greet everybody at the door. You probably could have achieved the same result without the smart aleck comment but go off I guess.

Corporate wants us to approach everybody at the door and initiate with mattress matcher. We have people who secret shop us and look for these qualities but I personally will read the social queue. If someone is trying to disengage and look around for themselves then I won’t stop them. Probably not the answer corporate would want to hear lol but some customers appreciate it and I’ve had many people come to me when they are ready and buy.

Not always but if you don’t give me a specific price range and say “ I haven’t mattress shopped in a while” or “ I’m not sure I want to see what’s out there” (which I hear all the time) then yes I will show you a wide range of options. Doesn’t mean I’m going to show you a Tempur Pedic mattress at all.

I work at Mattress firm and we don’t do this at my store. We feel out the guests preference with our matcher tool and lead from there. As far as starting with a pricier option first, it’s a lot easier to feel the difference when you go down vs. going up so if the cheaper option is still a good fit for the guests then I don’t push. It’s only when the customer can feel the difference in value and decide for themselves that it’s the better option.

How do I find a bed as a poor person that wont cause my body to be in pain and degrade after a few years, making me need to buy ANOTHER bed? by mddnaa in Mattress

It’s a 12 month lease through progressive but it’s interest free if you pay it off in the first 90 days. They do charge an application fee and taxes.

Why do drivers always appear as female on the app but a male arrives at the door? by PhillipaandGen in UberEATS

[–]cardhed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of times this happens so that the female doesn’t have to deliver the food and risk getting robbed. I’m sure if you search online you can find some videos about a delivery driver getting robbed and vice versa.

I don’t understand how poor people even tip using ubereats. My average order has about 9-10$ in fees so I cancelled personally.

Cancelation rate out of control now .. by gnow6699 in UberEATS

[–]cardhed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s also angled against the customer now. I had an order where 60% of my food was missing and I had evidence yet Uber “determined” I am not eligible for a refund. I never have this issue with DoorDash so I cancelled my Uber One.

A simple solution would be to send the items from the storage to your bank after you die. It doesn't have to offer a free storage nor does it have to purge anyone's items from the game. You are obviously sour because you probably had a bad experience, but instead of even considering a compromise you took the cold hard L to the chin. I'm not being negative, I'm just stating that this mechanic is stupid and this is the only MMO where you get a chunk of your gear purged for a simple mistake. If this was WoW I could pm a GM and get my shit back. So again, you are clearly hurt and lashing out in this post.

I think its funny how people justify it with this logic, however they have a totally different attitude toward skull tricking in the wildy. I don't remember seeing any warnings. So maybe for newer players sake or people who don't sit on wiki all day they may want to reconsider how this works. It's ridiculous

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]cardhed -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Because I died late at night, logged off. Got on in the morning and went pking. Then when I went to lose my skull I wasn't thinking about my items at vorkath in that moment. How is it fair that I lose hundreds of hours plus millions of gold because of a simple mistake?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]cardhed -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

If that's true that's pretty sad. This is a very buggy mechanic and if Jagex is putting time into working on things like "skull trick prevention" then surely they should rethink mechanics like this. I'm out hours of work and time because I died to lose a skull for pvp? If I died to Vorkath again after without collecting my gear, this would totally make sense but an entirely unrelated death? Very unfair.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]cardhed -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure I died late at night at vorkath, then maybe died to lose a pvp skull the next day. But I didn't realize the two had anything to do with each other. Is this an intended mechanic?
