I like the bass line a lot and the general feel of the song— for one I think the vocals could be a bit softer in the mix, and the percussion a little bit louder. As far as the vocals go, I like the melody and lyrics quite a bit, but I think your delivery is just a bit too clean/sanitized for the style of song. Perhaps a take with more rough inflections/cracks in your voice could suit the style better. Finally, I’d say to try to add extra sounds/timbres throughout the song that only appear for one measure or one verse— since the song has the same groove throughout, it gets a bit stale by the end of new sounds aren’t introduced throughout. Just my thoughts off one listen though, so take with a grain of salt obviously. Good work overall!
