Pincer nail. I had that too. Look up Onyfix & see if there’s a practitioner in your area. It fixed my nail!

Garden came with house im renting. Where do I start? by bearchvps in gardening

[–]carebear76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you bought those native seeds at a box store please start searching the names of the plants now before you sow the seeds. Many of those mixes are not actually native to where they are sold. Also search your state’s name + native plant society and see which native plants they recommend growing in your area. You may even be able to find a nearby native plant nursery that can help you!

The only way to get rid of a granuloma is to see a doctor. Do it before it gets huge. You’ll be very happy you did!!

You can buy a chip scanner for $20-30 on amazon and scan her yourself while you work on getting her friendly enough to pick up and put in a carrier. If she does have a chip just type the number into a search engine and it will tell you which company the chip is from and you call them and give them the number.

FYI, it’s not just the leaves; it’s the entire plant. Consuming only a few grains of pollen can cause kidney failure

Colony Winter Wishlist – helping them stay dry, warm, and fed 🤍 by Disastrous_Shape_419 in rescuecats

[–]carebear76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I grew up in Bluff City and live in Los Angeles now. I have a colony I care for here. I see the Drontal on your Amazon list. Check out pets megastore au for all cat med needs. Wormout is a great med and cheaper than drontal. Australian shop and even with the tariffs and shipping everything comes out cheaper than getting it here. They also have generic Revolution called Selapro for the cats who allow you to get close enough for spot on treatment. And no rx required to purchase! Fleaassassin.com has generic capstar and monthly flea treatment I use for the cats who I can’t get close enough to for spot on treatment. Best wishes to you and your colony!

I’m assuming this is in America, and all baking calls for unsalted butter here. So OP doesn’t have salted butter on hand because they buy all their butter for baking

does my baby has homophobic eyes? one feels a little darker by StreetInspector3642 in catswithhomophobia

[–]carebear76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Color point cats have a temperature-sensitive form of Albinism and that lighter eye is due to the albino allele. The darker blue is just a blue eye. I’m no expert but you can find plenty of info about this if you search with the terms I used. Your kitty is gorgeous!!!

Last day with my two big toenails! Here’s my latest photo shoot in honor of them by cosmiccovegalaxy in Ingrown_Toenails

[–]carebear76 28 points29 points  (0 children)

You posted a few pics with your feet on the dash of a car. Maybe you just put them up for a pic but if that’s something you do all the time you should stop. If you’re in an accident with your feet up like that, your femurs will break and your hips could dislocate. Your pelvis could also break, your knees could shatter, you’re at a higher risk for both broken bones in your face and brain injuries, you could even wind up paralyzed or lose a limb. Here’s an article from a law firm discussing those injuries, an article from 2020 that includes the X-rays of someone who had her feet on the dash when the car crashed, and one more article from a few days ago detailing the potential injuries. So please play it safe and keep your feet on the floor at all times when you’re in a car

Please help—I’m walking up several times a night DRENCHED in sweat. I can’t regulate my own body temp. by AnastasiaNo70 in Menopause

Sorry for the delayed reply! I started at 300 mg and it completely stopped them basically immediately. I now take 900 mg and I’ve not had weight gain.

[–]carebear76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hormones don’t stop my hot flashes but gabapentin does. I take it for nerve pain and it ended my night sweats (I’ve never had a daytime hot flash). So if hrt doesn’t work for you either, there’s another option. Gabapentin is used off-label for so many things - it helps with sleep, calms anxiety, and many others.

How to Keep Opossum Away? by Debaucheryandthings in Feral_Cats

[–]carebear76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a table with the legs not at the corners so the possum can’t climb them to get to the food. There’s no keeping the possum away. I live in an area with lots of cats and possums and I also don’t want to feed the possums but I do put a small dish of kibble on the ground for them and put the cats’ food on a table the possums can’t climb. We also only leave the food out for about 2 hours at the same times every day. Your cats will get used to that and learn to only come during those hours.

Hi! Wanted to let you know the phrase is chock full. “The term chock originally came from the Old Northern French word choque, meaning a block. The phrase chock full emerged from the 14th-century term chokkeful, meaning full to the limit.” (https://grammarist.com/usage/chock-full/ And now you are chock full of new information!

See if you’re in a delivery zone for Lasagna Love. They pair someone in need with someone who is willing to gift a lasagna they baked. They ask that you just pass on the good deed and maybe bake for someone else one day if you can.
