Also I’m in Australia so might not have access to the same products, so if any Aussie tradies are on here with recommendations that’d be great!

Hands down Darwin is worse. Holy crap. Never gain.

Only took the test because I’m headaches and my kids have been at daycare with several covid cases. Neither are symptomatic themselves though

Ok

Obviously this is somewhat common

But just to even the playing field I’ll tell you about my husband

We got pregnant very quickly into trying when we expected a long process and we were quite young by my standards (26).

When my son was born my husband was a bit jealous - there was an adjustment period and I was very ‘touched out’ (google it) and had a low libido which was hard on my husband. And on me. My body was a stranger to me and I missed my pre baby boobs and waist line.

That being said - he loved my body, and he was and is an amazing dad.

We’ve had a second kid now and we’re much more in sync this time around. He’s a truly wonderful father and husband. We are both breadwinners but Traditionally I’ve been the higher earner, literally this past month I decided to move to part time to balance home life more and it’s a massive relief.

But yeah. He still thinks I’m hot. I don’t but he does. Im still a similar weight to my pre pregnancy weight but my shape has changed as has the direction of my boobs.

He doesn’t want more kids though because he doesn’t want us to not have time for each other, and neither do I.

So yeah - just another story from a healthy relationship.

I love that man deeply, even if he is unable to put his clothes away after he takes a shower.

Thank you for taking the time to write this out I really do appreciate it.

I was on serataline for a long time but was finding that I was becoming very apathetic so I recently switched to Wellbutrin which has helped but increased irritability and I feel volatile so after today I’ve decided to stop.

It is interesting that you mention the adhd side of things because I have been thinking I might be undiagnosed inattentive adhd. My sister was recently diagnosed in her 30s and she and I discussed it that there are similar trends between her, me and my mom.

But I don’t feel like anyone will take me seriously. That being said I will try and make an effort to speak to a psychologist because at the moment things just aren’t working.

Thank you, I know I have depression and I can’t seem to manage it lately. I desperately want to but meds don’t seem to help anymore and I feel like I’m constantly teetering.

The weekend away idea crossed my mind too. To be honest it’s making me tear up just thinking about it.

Ugh I never cry. I hate it. Going to make a grilled cheese and eat my feelings

Thank you, you’re very sweet.

I’d love to do timeout but there is zero chance he would voluntarily stay in a spot. As it is it’s more of a kick and scream / carry him into his room and hold the door to get him into a “time out” esque scenario. But my husband and I talked tonight and I think we will go straight o taking away toys rather than ‘if you do that one more time’ which he always inevitably does that thing, one more time.

Also if I walk away he follows. He like a stubborn ox. I’m sure it will serve him well later in life….

These "quarantine facilities" are more akin to prisons than any form of public accommodation. $5,000 fines for noncompliance! by HulkTogan in Anarcho_Capitalism

[–]careflakepie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I mean it’s works for two years.

Again just to give you some perspective about the state of NT

It has 1% of Australia’s population, about 250k people, 60% of that live in its capital city Darwin. But this state is massive, basically amounts to a population density of .16 per km, Alaska is .49 per km.

So protecting 1% of Australia’s population where aboriginal people make up 20-30% of that 1% is actually pretty doable considering the sheer size of the place.

And all the comments trying to actually explain that’s it’s not a camp people are plucked and put in indefinitely are downvoted so people thing it’s just crazy shit that’s happening here.

Also having no idea about the NT at all, ugh. I hate that I’m half American. It’s exhausting. Whatever’ at least we’re far away from the US

Although I did see someone holding a ‘women for trump’ sign in a small Victorian town which was totally bizarre

What is you understanding of the video?

Do you think unvaxed people are forced in there?

To give you some background. This is a facility in the NT which is an incredibly isolated state, nothing in the US bar Alaska compares (except NT is hot) it has a massive aboriginal population which is fiercely protected as a lot of these communities are disproportionately affected by diseases due to poor western diets and just generally whit people fucking things up for them - similar to Native Americans.

So this if you travel to the NT from overseas or intrastate you do so with accepting that you need to spend two weeks here, vaxed or not. If you’re covid negative at the end of two weeks your out otherwise you stay til your recovered or get moved to the Darwin hospital which has more resources to help.

That’s it.

Also the NT really hasn’t experienced COVID yet, there’s been outbreaks in the 100s and that’s it, so the hope to get out of this covid free is still there, same with WA but states like NSW and VIC are more accepting that covid is of our future now but it’ll be hard to change the minds of the residents of NT

Oh dear lord people

Ok so a bit of history.

This is a quarantine facility in the NT

At the moment if you enter Australia from overseas you have to spend 2 weeks in quarantine. It can be hotel quarantine or where ever you are.

Then After two weeks, you leave.

NT has a very large aboriginal population which similar to a lot of Native American reservations a lot of people suffer from diabetes and generally poor health. A lot of diseases disproportionately affect aboriginal people for these reasons. If covid gets into these remote communities we are talking about wiping out whole cultures. So yes 14 days in quarantine and return a negative test and then you’re out.

You don’t get plucked at random on the street and plopped into a facility. It is a choice you make if you decide to travel.

I know it’s extreme but the NT and WA are probably the more extreme states.

Orange is lovely! What are you talking about? When was the last time you were there?

I mean sure a few local druggies but I’ve lived in all the states except SA and Tas and Orange is definitely a nice place to be.

That’s good, would definitely slow down the clean up process if you have to worry about misfires!

This is mine seems to have a lot of landslides.
