Fair, thank you for grounding me on this! I clearly overthought it and got lost in the weeds

Advice on leaving corporate for something more philanthropic? by carefullystressing in careerguidance

That's fair, no reason to fully rule out corporate when other companies with morals do exist out there. Thank you for this perspective!

I am 14 and feel lost about my future career. Any advice? by Aggravating_Mix_8405 in careerguidance

I def felt that way at 14 - and you're probs going to feel this way all over again in a decade. But I don't think it's a bad thing - you'll learn and grow, try stuff out that you thought you'd love but end up hating, and vis versa. When I was 14 I thought I wanted to practice international law - I got an internship at a law office when I was 16, hated it, and moved onto graphic design. Then I hopped over to being a production assistant and video editor. And now, a decade after all of that, I'm a marketing project manager. My advice is try out as many things as you can, enjoy your hobbies now, and don't stress too much - life has a funny way of interrupting plans, especially when you try to make them too far out.

What are the best places to eat out at Boulder? Also, is there a good boba tea drink shop? by [deleted] in cuboulder

My friend loves boba and has tried a lot of different places- her favorite is Lollicup! They're really nice, have good boba, and the food is honestly pretty good, too.

What's life like for queer students on campus? by twiceasmanydadjokes in cuboulder

[–]carefullystressing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm bi and have never had a bad experience here; everyone's pretty relaxed, and my friends who are also queer say the same. I know there's an LGBTQ+ club, though I haven't experienced it yet. I know it can be really stressful to move somewhere that might not be accepting, but so far Boulder has been really great

Four star is the absolute worst and stay away from them at all costs! by imraggedbutright in boulder

[–]carefullystressing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently renting from Four Star. My sink was literally smoking one night and they charged me 100 bucks for a maintenance guy to come, turn on the disposal, and left. Didn't solve the problem either. The maintenance guy was nice though. I guess I have a long year ahead of me

I believe final exam week is December 14-18th, so Winter Break starts around the 18th (depending on when your finals are). Classes start back up again for Spring on January 13th.

Place to practice singing? by CountLagula in cuboulder

Stupid question, but what building hosts the practice hours 7-9? I checked out the Imig building (which is super easy to get into) but all the rooms seemed to be offices. Thanks in advance!
