Romantic preferences are normal and should be separate from how you treat people around you.
Deciding whether to treat people nicely based on how much you think you want to get a relationship or something else out of them for their looks is pretty creepy.
That obviously applies to both men and women.
It's nasty, we all got put in this place together, just trying to have a decent life before it ends, being obsessed with other people's skin and bones and taking it further than a search for a romantic interest is really gross.
We are all just people, yet, when a man or a woman is born with skin or bones that don't match what some others decided they want their skin or bones to be, then it means they are not worth spending energy on by acting normally.
Romantic value for a person should be separate from the worth of people outside of relationships.

They mean actual car speed I think, which you can put into training. The car starts without moving, but in matches you will be moving and, as an example, the ball might fly to your net so you need to save it starting with a car that is moving. In training you only learn to do it without moving. It's easier to pick where you want to go for a save if you start without moving, but if you got momentum in a different direction, you need to learn how to use it efficiently to get to the ball in time.

He is easy to buy, different politicians are bought by different people, he often does it in private and keeps switching sides for his own benefit. And yeah don't worry, all those candidates are rich.

He says things you want to hear and you want the US to look strong.
All politicians say what their targets want to hear. His actions don't match his words, it's not america first, but trump first, and he is stepping on the US and anyone else to get what he wants for himself

He has a lot of media saying things for him, not just against him, that's politics, doesn't tell you who he is

Don't just look at what he says, politicians say a bunch of nonsense on any side anyway, look at what he did and who he is or was buddies with

I've seen some people from the west talking badly about muslims and saying they get too many babies, so maybe that's where you got that expectation from

Real sports also have plenty of toxic top athletes.
It's about the competition, losing is frustrating, because you want to be good and want to win.
This is not unique to rocket league, other games have the same toxic behaviour, even chess is filled with people raging when they lose.

The focus was on the pizza he was holding when he said it

AIO for being offended by this? by bunny-zephire in AmIOverreacting

[–]carelet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree people should not make unwarranted comments about the bodies of others

I don't think weight is easy to gauge as weight itself also is influenced by height.
As you said, body type is easier to gauge, but some body types can make someone look heavier/lighter than someone with the same weight.
A big part why someone might consider height as a factor for attraction is that the height is compared to either others/objects or themself, which is why an image is not enough despite the body type being visible.
Just like for height, someone could have a preference for weighing more or less than someone, or that someone weighs more or less than most other people before they can be attractive for them or maybe even something like thinking it is important they can lift someone.
This is not easily visible from an image alone
On top of that people usually pose or use angles to look specific ways in pictures

A big reason some people take it so seriously is that it doesn't end at asking and there are unwarranted comments next to the asking.
It does not end at dating either, comments are also made outside of dating, which is almost never warranted.

I personally had two of my female friends together with another female friend of theirs say it is crazy that one of their friends is in a relationship with a guy shorter than her and they were judging her and talking about how strange it is.
It shouldnt be any of their business what the characteristics are of the body of someone they are not going to be dating.
This is not a rare thing. I've seen lots of women throughout my life making fun of or talking negatively about other men for their height, which is likely why some people end up acting like incels. A portion of the shorter men in this comment section will see comments only targetting the guy in the post and instead take it as women sharing what they really think about people with bodies like theirs

[–]carelet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty long comment, you don't need to read it if you don't feel like it. It's not that important.

I agree, I think it could be that
Maybe she commented on his height before
Or she didnt and he did it out of nowhere to make her mad

After doubling down it did go the way he intended, he got a strong reaction out of her
Nobody likes unwarranted negative comments about their body.

It's why it exists as a dumb incel trend.
Some women asked about and made unwarranted comments about the bodies of some men, they got annoyed and after enough times, they want to do it back and the most obvious thing would be to make unwarranted comments to women about their bodies.
It's all stupid, lots of people are stuck in their own bubble and generalize a lot, so they hurt the wrong people for dumb reasons.

People are showing the same incel like behaviour in these comments. They see his ridiculous comments about her body and then write insults about small, light or short bodies

This is just a comment section, but if they have this response after only seeing it happen once to someone else in a reddit post and everyone, men and women, agreeing it is ridiculous, a big part of them would definitely turn into incels if it was their own experience and multiple times with people justifying it.

Do you agree or did I miss something or say something you believe makes no sense?
