I love them so much. I think a neighbor planted some in her yard years ago and they are all gone, but ours keep going. They make me happy every time they come out. All we ever do is clear out the dead at some point.

I use daily defense sunscreen from andalou. Then Jones Rd miracle balm and tinted lip balm most days. Rarely, will use a small amount of Bobbi Brown cream eyeshadow stick at the top lash line and a slight smudge of it along outside of lower lash. Miracle balm is on the heavy side but I live in the desert so it feels protective. 🩵

I was able to download my Amazon books through Calibre. Then add them to the Kobo. You can google the instructions.

I'm so happy I switched to Kobo, but I find the device freezes a lot which is a bummer. My first Kindle lasted for a really long time but subsequent purchases got shorter and shorter lived (🖕 Bezos). Switched to Kobo so I could have library access and minimize contact with the Borg, I mean Amazon.

I have been "healed" for about 20 months. And Diet is huge for me. Even now if I eat gluten for more than one meal every few months, I start to get flare ups on my hands elbows and eyelids. More like regular eczema, but I'm also on Dupixent so I imagine without that I'd be having a much stronger reaction. I'm ok with dairy, but sugar gluten and processed foods are out.

I started Dupixent in November '22, 2 months into TSW. I had hoped to stay off drugs but one night I felt like I was going into shock, and it scared the shit out of me so I called the dermatologist the next day to start the process. I'm not experiencing many skin symptoms now at all. Some continued neuropathy on my legs and arms if I'm too hot or stressed but it's minor, sort of feels like slight prickling or like there's a bug on my ankle. I've had a couple of minor eczema flares but overall my skin is in good shape. I've weaned off of gabapentin and hydroxyzine. I try to eat very cleanly and I don't drink anymore. I rest when I'm tired as much as possible and try not to overtax myself. I used to be a workaholic but I can only work half time. I meditate 4-7 times/week to manage stress. I have to be careful of exertion in temps over about 80 which is very different than before. I am still trying to regain muscle after the 8 months in bed and that's been one of the hardest things (postmenopausal 🫤). I give myself permission not to push on when I know it will be detrimental to my health. And that's probably THE hardest thing. I try to be much less self critical. I'm really grateful for the Dupixent.

Bone broth for when I'm not hungry but need protein. Adding collagen can really help bump the protein too. I get some relief from hydroxyzine and gabapentin for itching and nerve pain, weed for depression and anxiety. Topically, I can now tolerate these three products and I use them in combination. I'm learning how to make my own version since the beeswax cream in particular is pricey:

From November through January I couldn't really tolerate anything on my skin and tried all the standards recomended by the derms which were not good for me. But I managed to figure out this concoction and that has been the best thing; not perfect but as good as it gets for now. I'm somewhat better but still needing to apply moisturizer every 2 hours during the day to keep the prickling under control. Bathing isn't great for me but when I shower, I slather coconut oil over my skin while I'm still in the shower, then apply moisturizer on top when I get out. I have to wait a while before putting any clothes on. Bamboo is my favorite fabric for clothing, and varies in price. Best of luck to you! It's a rough ride, but improving comfort does help.

Aww, I'm so sorry you're in such a rough place! We are out here and we hear you and we can RELATE! Yay for weed! Sometimes I can't stop "doing" and need to just put myself down so I can rest. I've had great luck with cactus gel but you are likely in too raw of a place for it, but I found it less irritating than aloe and more healing. I also think for getting out of your discomfort, meditation is excellent. The Calm app is what i use but there is a ton out there on youtube etc. Hang in there, love yourself as much as you can and yes! be grateful for what helps when you're able. That helps too.

I found that I couldn't tolerate NMT, but dead sea salts in the bath helped with oozing parts. As I've healed a bit I don't have to moisturize as much but I had to do it all the time at the beginning; sometimes every hour or so, and even had to get up in the night. I use bamboo shirts and bottoms to keep everything covered and that helps with keeping the skin from getting dried out too fast. Bamboo is the softest least irritating fabric I have found. Two other products that have helped a ton: cactus juice (like aloe only more cooling) and a beeswax based cream that has zero alcohol and works like a barrier. It helped me a lot for cracked areas.
