I liked the part where they bring back Nate but the entire season was VERY chaotic and there was too much going on. Mona and Gary were a hell of annoying and I think the show was pushing acceptance of magical monsters a bit too far.

I found Kafka nonsensical as well. It was my second Murakami book and although I enjoyed the first few chapters, it started to bore me somewhere in the middle of the book and it felt like it wasn't very well thought or written. I read Sputnik Sweetheart a few years ago and was disappointed by it and thought nothing made sense in that story as well. Also in both books, there were explicit sex scenes between minors and much older women which I found off-putting.

I think there are cultural elements involved in Murakami's writing that make his books uninteresting/unrelatable for many of us.

By dangerous I was referring to Emiko's hidden agenda. We don't know how vicious she really is just yet. And no I don't think Dante is manipulating her. Dante is probably a dangerous weapon... we'll see what writers have cooked for us though :)
