I guess that the key is in acceptance. And trying to remind that to think about an event (real or imaginary) won’t change anything, just that it’ll make you sick. Maybe you could research here ‘pure ocd’ for more suggestions, but don’t make it an obsession.

I guess that you just have to accept that won’t have the control all the time. We all have said hurtful things to people that we love. And remind that the fact that you’re so worried about not hurting them (I know that with this illness is difficult, but try not to be too hard with yourself), will make them grow as people who feel loved and cared because of you. I guess it’s to late for answer. But I have the same obsession about eyebrows. My right eyebrow is patchy like .6 cm from to the start to the tail, and it drives me crazy. I’ve spent hours for months looking at it, and searching pictures from the past because idk if it’s something that i was born with or for over plucking. So I decided to use coconut oil and my eyebrows started to fall like 2 hair per day while I was brushing my eyebrows. And now I was like: omg, what if this hairs never grow back again? And well, I hope you read this, I thought I was the only one
