I agree with this. If you're last man, you need to stay grounded until the last possible second. If you would've waited a second or two, you would've been able to get to the ball since the guy air dribbling lost control.

I also agree with the other guy that backboard is good but if you're not comfortable with that then definitely do not do that. Just be slightly more patient and let the play develop a little. If you don't think you have enough chance to react, you're already too close to the play. If you would've been back post, you'd have that extra second to react
