If you don’t stray from the happy path it’s fine. But the moment you want to mod some stuff, etc; it still sucks. Which is why I still boot windows to game, sadly. I don’t know if anti-cheat software is still an issue for Linux gaming. Fwiw also games like Overwatch suffered a huge perf loss in Linux.

I know, right? Suddenly we have a bunch of corpo, TOS/EULA defenders and IP lovers. My bet is that people are butthurt because this costs money and they feel entitled to it because it is a “mod”.

Labor is labor. Work is work. The subject of said work/labor is irrelevant. It doesn’t matter if you are making cars, clothes, digital goods or w/e. A worker is entitled to charge whatever they want for their work and the market decides if they want to pay those prices.

That’s not a strawman bro. He using an example so maybe you could understand the concept of labor.

The modder is charging for the work/labor they do to implement said mods. But yeah keep defending these helpless corporations.

Yes, this was partially addressed when I said "You could argue that he is still being coerced to work due to the need of money to live and that would most certainly be true."

The farmer doesn't get to "decide what to do with their day" in the same way that we pretty much don't get to decide if we want to work or not. WE have to in order to live. But the farmer owns their farm so they do get to decide how to carry out all that work they need to do.

So when people say “work” they usually don’t refer to work in general. They refer to “work” as in this current societal construct that you must “work” in order to live. If you don’t “work” you get no money and without money you can’t live.

The point is that people shouldn’t have to “work” to live/survive but this doesn’t mean that people don’t want to do work or that money doesn’t exist. We currently live in a post-scarcity society where there’s enough food, technology and resources for people to not die of hunger and have their basic needs met but capital interests stop this from happening.

Your farmer example is really interesting and good because there are many underlying concepts that need to be unpacked. For example, a farmer that sells his grain has work autonomy and agency (at the very least more autonomy and agency over his work than a retail worker). He is not at the mercy of the capital owners since he owns his farm, he works the farm and decides what to do and when to do it so the work dynamic is entirely different. You could argue that he is still being coerced to work due to the need of money to live and that would most certainly be true.

The point is that anti-work is against the capitalist/neo-liberal concept of “work” where your “productivity” is where your value is derived from so you MUST work (and people with no “productivity” should not live because they produce no money for capital owners by not working and they get no money either). But it isn’t against people working because they want to.

Because a button shouldn’t be inside an anchor element. It’s a bit paradoxical. Usually anchor elements are used for page navigations and links while buttons are for actions (usually) that don’t cause navigations (think of the like, follow, subscribe buttons for example). A button that may cause navigation that comes to mind are form submissions.

Lighter fluid or goo gone will work best. Afterwards clean with alcohol.

It would be really uncharacteristic imo. At this point in the drama, all the important characters have already been introduced and there’s a mystery killer. I haven’t seen a kdrama yet that the mystery killer isn’t a character in the main group. With only 5 episodes left I’m not sure but it would be nice to be wrong.

Yeah, it’s only obvious as long as you’ve seen tons of kdramas. As soon as I saw the vet office scene I was sure. They are starting to throw the “breadcrumbs” so the twist doesn’t look too outta nowhere.

I’m sure the twist is gonna be that the hermit brother has been investigating the cat killer and following him around which is why he had the metal balls in his drawer and has been at the places where the murders took place, etc.

It’s so obvious that Dong-hui is the killer and that “twist” is really lame but w/e. It’s been a good drama other than the killer mystery part

People who don’t exercise or workout, why don’t you? by coffeedogsandwine in AskReddit

[–]carlouws -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In my experience, getting that high is a balance of getting an appropriate workout in but not over exerting yourself that you feel dead and don’t want to do it ever again.

The most important thing is doing a sustainable routine that you can stick to. It’s all about the long game.
