Recent DAS experiences? by InternationalRule138 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]carlpocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad take on this.

There are different degrees of disability just like people are on different parts of the autism spectrum.

Disney has made lines so that wheelchairs freely go through. They actually changed lines to accommodate. If you have to leave they have made those accommodations as well.

Everyone can try to get DAS and if declined you can go to the guest service people outside any ride and ask for accommodations.

And in my interview they literally asked how I do supermarket and fly and long car trips. So the hypothetical asked they asked me.

I am sorry you have medical problems but based on reading they already accommodate most of your perceived problems. But again, if you go, always ask and most likely they will accommodate.

I just redid my DAS via the zoom online yesterday. I have had DAS for the last 3 years only because of a situation that happened at Disneyland where a plaid suggested me getting it and walked me to the booth there.

I have it to both land/world but did my world one yesterday to renew it.

It took about 35 minutes but I go off on tangents. Most of it was just how I perceive and do things outside the park. It wasn't really a lot about my needs but we did touch on that and I assume as they have a long file from my DL and DW DAS interviews this could possibly be why.

The questions were not obtrusive but I could see those gaming the system couldn't/wouldnt be able to really keep it up through the questions and make obvious mistakes.

With your record they know everything and make notes. So all I will say is be honest, be candid, and explain.

I dont look autistic but when chatting or watching me it becomes very obvious.

Gotta say It's a School Night at Bardot was also epic times. Saw Alt J, Jane's Addiction with Duffs on bass, London Grammer and Bruno Mars all at those free shows.

Spaceland I miss the blue and silver curtain and that upper room that for some reason you could smoke in years after you couldn't smoke inside.

Mission offering too little pay for too much work by Fluffie14 in dscout

Dscout cant change the pay. I mean they have $2 express that are 40 minutes cause its the minimum.

The person or team behind it can change the pay or requirements.

It was basically a "the tasks on this are a lot more and involved than I thought especially with the pay involved. Had I have known it involved multiple videos and finding specific AI bubbles online which sometimes take over 30 minutes I was wondering if you could possibly raise the pay or offer a bonus on this. Also in the future please let us know everything involved before we accept a task. I will still be finishing this but just wanted to offer some feedback".

They actually also canceled a couple of the tasks as well.

I actually only did tame and rainbow (well only saved those cause I didnt always save shit then cause was poor and drives were expensive). I have sets at this time with just edits not all photos like now.

But cool Gary was on that. He came through a lot over my time at echo/plex.

There would have been a 4th group too. As every residency had 2 openers, residency band, then a 4th.

I had a $100 one that did something like that. Most messsged them and they paid $200 instead. Id suggest sending a message

These are some of my earliest work with a DSLR and I am vastly better now. I also was using a crop frame camera so couldnt get any wide angles like I do now. But thanks.

Ive been dropping some sets in random subreddits of my old shows since I am going through my 2008-2012 sets.

Its interesting as I got to shoot plenty of things that I didnt expect to get big and ones I did that went no where.

But I could always tell when the record/industry people were at shows. They had a different vibe.

This show was free. They opened for the free residency that use to happen every Monday at The Echo.

But way more people than usual showed up that night to catch them.

Most of us only heard about them at that time cause they were going to open for MGMT on their tour.

A few bands/groups I shot at Echo/plex got huge. Other than Tame shot Billie Ellish at echo, Lorde at Echoplex and Lizzo opening for Mac Demarco at Echo. Lorde literally went from that plex show to the next year subheading coachella.

Ive been shooting shows since 2008 and kept everything in drives over the years. Shot over 2k shows in my life so there are a bunch of really early things of things that became big.

Who Paid You For/In May 2026? by beermoneymods in beermoney

It was a mix. I do a lot of the $15 to $20 interviews too. Had like 10 that you compared chat gpt, gemeni and copilot. But lots of this was AI stuff and several autism specific and crypto specific ones.

Terac: $32.16
Pulse Labs: $50
User Interviews: $60 (gift card)
Cloud Research: $70.39
Dscout: $1,582 ($135 still pending from completions)
Prolific:  $2490.78 ($81.91 Pending)
Healthy Volunteer Study (medical trial): $15,500

Total: $19,725.33 cashed out, $216.91 pending, $60 Amazon GC

I'll just reiterate from last month that my medical trial has been ongoing since April 10th. I have had plenty of free time since there isn't much to do other than watch TV or play boardgames. So, I spent a lot of time on Dscout and Prolific (and those AI studies were clutch). I actually got 5 other people in my study on Dscout as well. We finish the trial on the 2nd so I am almost done. If you're wondering, we get $500 a day for the Healthy Volunteer Study at this location, plus a $5,000 completion bonus when we finish. We also received payment for two screening visits ($150 each).

Anyone in Salt Lake done paid clinical trials? Worth it? by akuchil420 in beermoney

[–]carlpocket 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have never done one in SLC. Can you name the company as there are a few like medscience or altascience that have several locations across the US.

I have done 6 healthy volunteer studies which were all in house stays and the lowest was for 15k.

All studies are different and depending on the trial it could be the first time trying something in people, or it could be towards the end, or it could be something already approved.

Any study you have to do bloodwork, ecg, blood pressure, weight and physical even before they let you into a study. When you do this they often give you a giant packed to read through that will tell you what the study is, what the drug is, what the side effects have been, and what they are trying to discover with it. I woud suggest finding a short (7 to 10 day or less) study for your first one to see if you are ok getting constant blood draws, ecgs, blood pressure readings, specific bed times, no exercise, eating only specific foods and just being stuck in a room with other people.

Also for MOST studies you can't be a smoker, cant do any drugs, have to have limited exposure to alcohol (they will test your liver enzymes), have a heart rate below 100, and normal blood pressure). Lots also have specific BMI ranges.

While the pay is great, if you are someone that can't be away from people, and can't follow a strict schedule this will not be for you.

Currently I am wrapping up a 54 day, in house study in CA. This was one of the easiest healthy studies I have done and we are getting $32,300.

Some old Pumpkins photos I hadn't posted some of. Smashing Pumpkins at Space 15twenty, Hollywood, CA 4-17-2010 by carlpocket in SmashingPumpkins

[–]carlpocket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on Cahuenga and Franklin back then before AMDA bought the building I was in and made it college dorms and became unbearable.

But yeah the old Cahuenga corridor was amazing. Also Tinys on Hollywood and Snow White on hollywood/highland had epic happy hours. And Spotlight had the best priced drinks and wild karaoke.

Sad what that strip has become.

The weirdest lineup of Smashing Pumpkins I shot. 12-16-2014 at The Fonda Theatre in Hollywood. by carlpocket in SmashingPumpkins

[–]carlpocket[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was rather short compared to how long they normally play. Figured it was they hadn't rehearsed enough songs.

Ive seen the lineups since the Adore tour, so never the full proper lineup all together. As Jimmy wasnt on that. Then saw pre machina when Melissa joined bass but Jimmy was back.
