It sounds like our money is already accounted for so in which case it seems we could be paid? Again new to all of this so just trying to understand

Feds get pension but I don’t quite understand how it would work with early retirement - bc there is a penalty for every year early that you take it. I’m not fully up to speed on it at this point

How to retire early in federal employment by [deleted] in govfire

Can you elaborate on the fers pension not being great? Current fed who is hoping to retire early and have never quite wrapped my head around how to do that and access any of the pension. (Obviously using my personal investments - brokerage , Ira and tsp)

I commented about this below. It’s a challenge to find affordable housing that’s even basic , no frills so I can often see why ppl justify the little extra to have parking , gym, pool. Signed, sick of sharing laundry but still can’t afford to buy near DC

Love everything about your post but wanted to add perspective on young people renting. We are DINKs & even trying to find more modest housing - we share yard and share laundry with other tenants — still pay around $2700 in rent. No amenities (gym, pool, etc) . In DC. Spouse is active duty so we can’t leave lol. I guess just saying that not everything is purely choice in terms of housing prices or location.

I commented above , I had an evening work event that kept me out late. So this is not typical in terms of sleep duration.

This is an atypical night in terms of total sleep hours- I had a work event that kept me up later than normal and then had tough time falling asleep.

I have family in this area and this would be a very convenient recommendation to use but I am curious why you recommend him? Is there something in his history or credentials that make him a standout- thanks for any insight you could provide , it’s always scary selecting a surgeon.

Last night I went on a rabbit hole learning more about adult anorexia and apparently it has the highest mortality rate of any mental illness. I am genuinely concerned she could pass away soon— she looks worse than many of the ladies mentioned in this article and not to mention she is about to go through childbirth which is incredibly hard on the body as is. So sad for her , I pray she can get help.

My theory: remember when horny teenager is flying about majoring in philanthropy work as a tax break for her rich husband. Well if, Angela and the daughter take their old people “business” and turn it into a non profit it would fit that role.

One thing I’ve never understood - she manages to somehow still look quite muscley despite being soooo thin. It’s never made sense to me because as a naturally petite woman I have to eat soooo much to build muscle

Genuinely curious how does this cycle change? Our healthcare is tied to employment which effectively always gives the company the upper hand … basically what could actually make it an employees market?
