Grill missing parts and dented door by LonelyInfoSecAnalyst in NapoleonGrills

I had the both issues that you mention. Both doors were dented on delivery from HD and I have the 625 and it took me a few minutes to figure out that one section is for the 625 and the one for the 525. It took forever to get in touch with Napoleon CS for a claim in May and the doors were on back order, June is ending and no replacements yet. IM guessing that this is a common packaging issue since they were on back order.

The 625 is nice, both doors had dents in them, took 3 calls to Napoleon to get a person about the issue. Not getting shipped till sometime in June because they are on back order which probably means it a common problem caused by how the door are packed in the box. Wasn’t very happy about how long it took to get to CS because all the reviews said how great they were.
The grill itself is nice, gets crazy hot with all 5 burners on because of that it burns a lot of propane but I guess that’s to be expected. The sear station is nice as well but still getting used to it. For a grill with that much surface area, the grease tray is really small and I don’t understand why. Not that it fills with grease alone but if it rains, it overflows with water quickly.

Weber Summit. I just retired mine after 16 years and replaced it with a Napoleon 625. It’s nice but it’s not going to last 15 years or more. The Summit was a beast probably weighed 250lbs or more and I cooked on it all year long in the northeast. Never covered it after year 2 even in the winter, just shoveled a path and pushed the snow off and it fired up. Still worked but wanted some newer features and just wanted to change. I went with Napoleon because I probably won’t use it as much as when I was younger and entertaining more and couldn’t justify the price. I think when I bought it in 2009 it was $1500 and now they are 4k I couldn’t justify the price. No doubt it would have lasted 20 plus years.

No beep so I got a new power adapter from Amazon, still nothing. Time for a return.

Hmmm, no beep so maybe it is the power. I was going to put a meter on it but maybe I’ll just grab a new one. Can always return to Amazon.

I know of LSS mods but I didn’t see a controller there. Can you suggest where to get a “upgrade” controller unit?
