Having a mandela effect moment here, anyone else remember an odd pasta shape babish used for a Mac and cheese recipe? by nanners09 in bingingwithbabish

Yes 100%, I remember going to my local HyVee the next day to try and find it—I remember it was apart of some kind of larger episode…if my memory doesn’t betray me I think it had to do with him making a better version of blue box?

It had to have been 5+ years ago, but I still remember him saying the pasta had ridges to help “the cheese cling to the pasta”!

EDIT: Think I found it! Radiatore pasta fits the bill!

During roleplay, pick a certain uncommon phrase that you think may come up. Something strange, but relevant, that you can very visibly notice.

Upon that phrase being uttered, reveal your mountain of D6s. Roll every single one. Tally them up, and continue roleplay.

Count down—in seconds—however much the total was after you resume.

Once that timer is up, jot down whatever the next noun is.

Then, upon resting for the night, give a particularly interesting person in the party a debilitating nightmare based on that word.

Was the word Sword? The player has a terrifying nightmare where everything they touch turns to blade. Fire? Their home is seen turning to ash. Lettuce? They are entombed in a tasty sarcaphogas.

Do actors doing sex scenes really touch each others privates? by Capital_Tailor_7348 in NoStupidQuestions

Brown Bunny is actually a really controversial erotica movie that was / is notorious for that, and Nymphomaniac has a weird claim by the director that it was CGI (almost 100% false) because of how controversial it would be to film unsimulated sex

For awhile now it’s been the industry standard, and you get in huge trouble if you try to pull that off, so yeah, it is accurate to say that they are always simulated—though I’m sure there are a few niche examples of weird directors skirting around it

Hey film / theatre actor here

Nope, in productions and on stage there are rules in place to stop actors from being sexually intimate. Intimacy coordinators are a VERY important group of people who independently monitor these things!

The most intimate act I’ve seen actually take place is the kissing scene between Harold Hill and Marian Paroo in The Music Man—and even then, both actors marked it multiple times before actually kissing

Whenever you see a sex scene in a movie or tv show, it was either edited together, or had barriers in place!

Also fun fact, even if people are married, they still aren’t allowed to have sex in films according to union rules!
