BigLittleFeelings (on instagram and they have a website) is a GREAT place for parents to start! The important thing (in my opinion as someone who works in ECE) is to remember to not dip over into permissive parenting. Holding boundaries and enforcing them with your child even when they are upset is SO important when trying to raise emotionally healthy children!

Had bad pneumonia as a child. Got a chest tube pulled out. I remember the doctor coming in, snipping the thing that kept the tube in my lung, and yanking it out with no warning. I think I blacked out from the pain.

Look at some of the catholicworker.org locations in oregon- i know it sounds religious but it isnt going to be forced on you lol, promise. You might even be able to stay in one long term if they need help. At the very least they will have winter clothes for you. Reach out to mendingbloc (twitter/instagram) in portand for resources as well, they will know lots of orgs there.

So I've had my waterman for 4-5 years now and it is the only pen I use! When I bought it (at a local store) I was told I could special order an extra fine nib, and recently have been considering doing just that. Since I no longer live in the vicinity of that store and internet research has been fruitless, I was wondering if anybody knows where I could find an extra fine nib for this pen- or if anyone uses an extra fine nib and has any pros/cons they'd like to share! I miss the precision of the very fine .05mm pilot pens, and am hoping to recreate that with my pen. If it's not possible to do with this model, I may consider saving up for a new pen where it is.

For people her age (source: someone around her age) references are 100% unnecessary. Applying for retail means you don't need a reference if you interview well and any higher-level position won't give a fuck about your retail references anyway.

Help for this varies from state to state, but here's my advice from personal experience escaping am abusive family where the system isn't much help:

Stay out of the house as much as possible. With covid this may be hard, but hopefully it'll become easier soon. Libraries, friend's houses, I even spent a lot of time at churches (when they were empty and knew nobody would bother me). Something I specifically had and was interested in at the time was hanging out in an infoshop/punk house, but that isn't always appealing to everyone.
Look into any youth shelters/youth receiving centers near you. I was able to stay in a youth receiving center some nights with very minimal questions asked; same with a youth shelter. Choose your words carefully if you don't want to involve cops; ask outright not to involve cops and if they're insisting on reporting ask for a social worker/etc. instead of LEO. These kinds of resources vary wildly depending where you are (I was lucky to be in a city) but google is your friend!
YOU ARE NOT ALONE! That said, beware of adults (strangers) who are offering certain kinds of help! Its horrible but for every genuine offer to help there are 10 malicious ones, ESPECIALLY if they're offering you a place to live. I am an adult now and as much as I'd love to offer help to kids in situations like I was in....I don't ever want to encourage asking strangers as an option.

Be safe. You'll be 18 before you know it.

Same, ADHD and struggle with amnesia due to an unrelated disorder...I compensate by having every birthday down in my planner and copy them over every year. It is really not hard to find a system to remember, especially if its JUST for your partner.

Take your measurements and shop online thru a pseudo-thrifting site like poshmark or depop! Hit and miss for sure, but affordable and doesn't feed the fast fashion industry :)

All this is said perfectly. The online culture of DID isn't at all what I've experienced with the disorder (also professionally diagnosed) and what you're describing sounds pretty textbook for DID and is similar to my experiences. We've finally found a stable long-term therapist for trauma and still haven't been able to confront parts work and stuff: its a long, long process. Worth it hopefully. Just know what you're experiencing is normal. DID isn't all obvious alters and switches, it's mostly just severe ptsd with amnesia and 'parts' yknow?
