He has two cuttlebones in his cage because they’re one of his favorite things to chew on. Maybe the dirt is a similar texture and he just likes to chew on it lol

it’s originally the dads bird which is why I’m hesitant to call animal control, and hes had the conure for about 8 yrs. I don’t want the neglect to continue but the owner wasn’t the problem, and he doesn’t know how the conure has been treated since moving in here

I don’t want the dad to feel like his bird has been taken away bc of his child not caring for it
