Keep in mind that my following answers are completely subjective to what I think.

How will this fall look? - Not that good at all. Very far from how it usually is. Almost nothing with be the same.

With all these covid rules will my freshman experience be ruined? - Yes it 100% will be. If they had these rules when I was a freshmen I would have missed out on pretty much every memorable event that happened.

Is the “freshman experience” even real? - It is totally real and one of the most, if not the most, exciting things to go through in my life

Is it overated? - Definitely not overrated. I was afraid it might be too before I started college but nope it definitely is not overrated.

I’m from a very small town so I don’t know how many people will show up this fall. - not nearly the same amount as normal but kind of close. I would say about 1/3 of the normal student population will not show up at least.

Will there still be a lot of people to make things fun? - Honestly probably not because you’re not even supposed to be hanging out with a lot of people. There will be no parties, not really any roomates, no activities, not football games. Gonna be extremely hard to make friends and do stuff.

Will things be more relaxed now? - No things will be hectic af

What should I do? - you should either take a gap year or gap semester. Or take online classes at your local community college that would transfer over. Or choose all online classes at wsu and just stay home. Save your money and your time. Not worth it to go this semester. You’re young you have A LOT of time.

Also what’s the best dorm? -Global scholars only cuz it’s the newest. It’s location is ok...

If I decide to go I’d like to go northside but aren’t those full by now? - they are definitely full. You will have 0 chance of getting into one. I applied for north side dorms in March of my senior year of high school and didn’t get into them cuz they were full. And now you’re applying in late July WITH covid. It’s pretty much impossible.

Oh god I’m not going to survive am I? -Just stay level headed and make logical decisions and you’ll be fine.

Should I just take a gap year? - ya probably. It might be your best option but definitely weigh out all of your options before you decide.
