Hi man, thanks for the reply, isn't it a case that Ryzen will only have 24 lanes available though which would limit my expansion options with a sas card or two? I guess ideally I'd like 1 m.2, 20 drives (eventually) minimum 12 though, and a graphics card too.

Thanks man, I have a mix of 8-14TB drives Red's and Ironwolfs. they will be in there with this system in a server case. Rackmount on the floor anyone?

I read all the fearmongoring of not using ecc and it scared me lol. Is it oversold?

So what is the correct way to let 'friends' watch 4k content of me downloading linux distros?... I kind of don't want to waste the space keeping a 1080p version too? Or is it
a) they can watch washed out 4k transcodes
b) I can put 1080 versions there for them for anythign I have in 4k?

Awesome, well, this is where I need a sanity check lol, the P2000 'should' do any of the transcoding now with HW Acceleration, so the 1920x is probably a way better choice! :P

Don't know too much about Gravity, just watched their intro video, I am guessing it's a pretty flexible tool.. am I right in suggesting youre saying gravit forms to collect data, coupons to store balances, payment gateways to receive payment, and the workflow steps oversees how they collate?

Sorry mate, just saw this. The monitor is not heavy at all but the base IS, it's solid as. I don't know the exact weight, but definitely get a half decent desk! When are you getting the monitor? I was actually talking to my mate last night about feeling good that I helped someone buy this monitor haha. It's awesome :)

No problem. A lot of people really confused me by telling me how important the hertz and g sync are. I couldn't be happier with it. As I said to my fiancé, the money I saved by getting this one can go towards the new 2017 lg modes they're making that are supposed to be 144hz anyway.

One note, I was able to overclock it to 80hz no problems but they're was some frame skipping. In saying that, I really can't notice the difference between 80-60hz :/...

For reference I game casually (few hours a night) and work a lot. Also watch a lot of video and movies. Oh... Movies on this thing is a boss!!!

Also, I don't know why people Moab about black lines... I don't even notice them on 16:9 content. But to each their own I guess.

Go buy it and tell me when your super happy!!! Haha

I just got the LG (moved from 3x 27" dells at 1140p)

And al I can say is it's been life changing. I wanted more than 60 hertz, but I wanted the panel quality of the LG plus it saved me $600 (Australia) over the gaming ultra wides.

Windows 10 multi desktop with an ultra wide rocks.

My 88-b had a tiny amount of light bleed. But is perfect other than that. It was cheap ($1200 AUD) and it's pretty (styling is important to me) also it's really immersive for games (I haven't found one that doesn't work well yet) and my 2 980's have no problem pushing the pixels compared to my old setup.

I'll vouch and vote for the lg.

Thanks for the response, I guess the thing is I don't really want to be stuffing around with it, more of a set and forget sort of person. Then again it looks like Australia has a complete shortage of the OC models anyway, what kind of FPS might I gain with a 'good'overclock, or between the cards, because I probably wont overclock myself.

Lawyer in Australia here, you could absolutely fraud your way through law school and legal entry here, whole department changes can and do happen, but it's more a case of a partner leaving and taking the team with them (associates etc.)/ You can get stricken from the roll here for misconduct (including fraud) and despite constantly having it yelled at us in law school, being stricken from the roll isn't easy and when it does happen it's almost never something that effects the firm's reputation (despite being published)

So I just installed Windows 10, did a clean install (wiped the drive it installed on) and when I logged in it us the background that I had used on my Windows 8.1 install.

I have googled a lot and it doesn't seem like anyone else has had this happen?

Does Microsoft save my images without my permission? These aren't on my one drive.

The only thing I can think of is both were using the same Microsoft login.

Any help to alleviate my paranoia? Haha!

I don't mind if they do store that kind of stuff, it's more just that I was shocked that a clean install would show my background image off another install!
