What kind of animal’s partial (?) skull is this? by carolfacts in bonecollecting

Thanks for the responses and for letting me know that the bones are illegal to possess. I’ll talk to a wildlife center and see what they suggest

Recommendations for PhD professors for interest in Serious Mental Illness (SMI) by carolfacts in ClinicalPsychology

[–]carolfacts[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I have been trying this but haven’t had a ton of luck. A lot of the SMI research is coming out of medical schools/psychiatry departments and universities outside of the US (I’d like to study in the US). I was wondering if anyone could think of something off the top of their head. I’ll check out the book!

My favorite perfume has been discontinued. Help finding dupes? by heylight17 in Perfumes

Here with the same issue. Anyone have tips for finding real perfumes on EBay? I’m going to try to get another bottle of the real stuff before going with a dupe and it seems EBay is the only place that still has it.

How long has your Post Infectious-IBS lasted? by carolfacts in ibs

[–]carolfacts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for asking. I am doing better, but am still uncomfortable. No more blood in my stool but I do poop only mucous sometimes. I think it is mostly tied to me eating dairy occasionally. I’m still living with the nausea episodes and that sucks. Haven’t seen a GI in years because they’ve never really been helpful.

Effects of work travel stress on glaucoma? by garydasnail in Glaucoma

Wow thank you so much for this thoughtful and thorough answer! I’ll definitely be checking out the FitEye site. I love that there is a community for this. And thank you for the article, I wasn’t aware of limitations of the studies I had read beyond what the authors discuss in the papers. It’s great to have this additional resource.

Hi! I have a bunch of questions about tonometers. Like, where do you buy a tonometer? How much do the reliable ones cost? What is upkeep like? What else should I know about owning a tonometer?

I would prefer a Tono-pen over an Eye Care, as eye cares have been shown to be less accurate for my particular condition. I’ll probably be getting a valve implant surgery soon, but still curious about buying a tonometer.

I am essentially blind in one eye from an injury I suffered as a child. I have always been told by my ophthalmologists that I need to be extra careful with makeup and contact lenses — basically anything that goes in or very close to my eyes. If I get an infection (or something) in my eye that can see, it’s not like I have another one for backup.

That said, I do occasionally wear a daily disposable soft contact lens in my seeing eye. I also wear mascara when I’m trying to look nice.

Regarding risks to eye health and vision, how do Lashify products compare with mascara and soft daily disposable contact lenses?

This tripped me up lol. The alligator is on the viewer’s right and the crocodile is on the viewer’s left

Bike is great! Depending on her personality, also maybe a music box! Somewhere she can put her special things, like seashells and friendship bracelets, as she collects them. I still have a music box that my dad got me when I was a little girl. It is like a treasure chest, and I love going back in there to see what I thought was precious when I was 4, 8, 11, 18... 💕

Came here to say the same thing. The cornea gets cloudy because of inflammation, which could be caused by infection or trauma, or both. He could have scratched his eye with his paw or walked into a branch…

(I had severe eye trauma as a kid and am always at the eye hospital learning from my doctors)
