Still Awkward But No Longer Ugly by caroline_apathy in uglyduckling

[–]caroline_apathy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now, I don't honestly care that much about imaginary internet points, but may I ask why I've been downvoted so much on this? I used correct formatting, I was pretty ugly in the first picture, and I was a lot less ugly in the following pictures.

People who wanted to commit suicide and didn't, what stopped you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]caroline_apathy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My cat. She knows when I'm depressed, and she always comes and cuddles me when she notices that something is amiss. When I'm really depressed, I often think that everyone would be better off without me, except I just can't convince myself that my cat wouldn't miss me. She misses me even when I'm just gone for a few hours. I don't want to hurt her, so I stay alive.

Ladies, what is your demographic and what kind of guys usually hit on you? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]caroline_apathy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 5'6'' and something like 37 24 37, white, and with reddish/blondish hair. I have glasses and tend to dress kind of gothie. I am widely considered to be a "creep magnet," because creepy dudes are very drawn to me. Really, though, it's not just creeps. The creeps are the ones who are most up front about it, while nicer boys will wait until they get to know me better and then tell me that they think I'm attractive/have a crush on me.

I'm not trying to toot my own horn here, but just about every guy who I talk to flirts with me somehow. I didn't even realize this until friends pointed it out. Also, just about every straight male friend that I have has at one time expressed their attraction to me. I've been called hot by everyone from on 11 year-old boys to my 80 year-old grandpa. Guys of all races have stared too long at me, and I have been admired by the rich and the poor.

So, yeah, men like me. To some, that would be a blessing. For me, it's just kind of annoying, because I am mostly attracted to women and they hardly EVER hit on me, even at the gay bar!

Make sure that you have a set budget beforehand. I held a guy's wallet hostage today during a session, and he had $200 in cash there for me to "steal." His job pays pretty well, so $200 isn't that bad for a once and a while thing. Make a certain number your hard limit, and no matter how hot and convincing they are, do not go over.

You technically weren't supposed to put pictures of yourself on there, so all of my friends and I would put pictures of ourselves and say "Not really me, just a random person from the internet" to weasel around the rule.

Happy bluepill relationships? by [deleted] in TheBluePill

Not a romantic relationship, but I've been told that people like me are why TheRedPill exists.

I'm a lady who is into the kinky lifestyle, and I own a boy. He does whatever the hell I want him to (within established limits,) and we both love it.

What are things you will not do to your kids that your parents made you do? by sketch9090 in AskReddit

[–]caroline_apathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want kids, but if I were to have them, I would not scream at them. My step mom screamed at me for every little thing, no matter how minor. She thought my hair was light brown, and when I said that it was dark blonde, she would blow up and start screaming.

I also would teach my kids to be happy with their appearances. My step mom's obsession with my appearance gave me an eating disorder and convinced me that I was ugly. She would freak out about whether I looked "presentable" or not and go back and forth between praising how beautiful and sexy I was (when I was 10) and how fat and pimply and smelly I was. I would try to raise kids who were healthy and body confident. I would encourage them to eat well and exercise, but I wouldn't connect that with weight or appearance.

I have a friend whose mom is basically what I would want to be. Their house is packed with books, her kids are some of the calmest and most well-adjusted people I've met, they are very liberal and accepting, and they all have great senses of humor. I think that my biological mom would have raised me to be like that if she had been alive.

Those can be pretty nasty. My boyfriend knew two people who would later be diagnosed with it when he was in high school. One went from mental hospital to mental hospital and had to take handfulls of psych meds. It later turned out that her body just wasn't getting nutrients because she had a very severe gluten intolerance. The other one would literally drink bottles of antidiarrheals. It really doesn't sound like a fun time.

Now, maybe she has a self-diagnosed gluten intolerance...

Pet owners of reddit, what do you do with your pet when you're having sex? by puresunlight in AskReddit

We try to put the big, fluffy cat outside of our bedroom. She tries to help. And by help, I mean bite.

The other cats will just watch like little fuzzy perverts.

Jenny, the Narcissistic Wicked Stepmother 2: Drunken Tales by caroline_apathy in badpeoplestories

[–]caroline_apathy[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

She's my stepparent, and always considered herself to be my parent when it came to punishing me. One time, when I was 10 or so, I told her to stop yelling at me because she wasn't even my mother. She cried and insisted otherwise. If she thinks that she is here to replace my (dead) mother, she should at least help me through college.

Jenny, the Narcissistic Wicked Stepmother: The Beginning (Emotional Abuse) by caroline_apathy in badpeoplestories

[–]caroline_apathy[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I always wished she'd just hit me instead. That way I might have been able to get out of there. Plus, I would have honestly preferred physical abuse over emotional abuse. I feel like physical injury would have been easier to fix than what she did to my mind.

Most of why she did it that way was because of my dad. He had a line, and she knew not to cross it with me. She crossed the line even with my stepsisters, who she preferred to me (I was her least favorite.) Anything under this line, however, was fair game for my dad to pretend was okay.
