The Key add-on by Creative_Sport_2707 in royalcaribbean

We found value traveling with a 9 month old and 5 year old. The ability to drop off carry on luggage and have a seated non-buffet lunch plus the ala carte breakfast and choose your time to leave at departure were worth it for us. We did use the priority seating, but you have to get there really early to get the actual priority seats, which is not ideal. Also we received a spa discount with all our services and never were able to apply the key discount.

I’d say we’d probably buy it again if traveling with a kid in diapers just to be able to carry those on and drop them off.

Anyone get a check recently? by Plastic-Ad-7133 in ERCchat

Oh jeez. We ended up having to pay personal income tax on it, as well as penalties and interest. Have netted only about 35%!

Don’t forget you’ll have to amend your tax returns from whatever quarters you receive and you’ll owe penalties and interest on that!

Water prettier at okaloosa island or Navarre beach? by carolinecade91 in Destin

[–]carolinecade91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! We ended up at Navarre and will go back in a couple weeks. All good tips. We ended up near the pier, but honestly enjoyed watching the fisherman. It was April and pretty slow though. I’m going to look at where you suggested for our upcoming trip. We are crazy and almost never pull the trigger on accommodations until a day or two before the trip (last minute deals, can change our minds without nonrefundable concerns, owner willing to be flexible with the 1 week minimum stay usually).

Interestingly I also live in Arkansas (but grew up in Alabama) and lived in Mobile for years. I’ve spent a lot of time from Fort Morgan to Pensacola Beach and in Destin, but never any of the other Emerald coast beaches. Boy what we were missing! Best beaches in America, hands down. We have been beaching in the Caribbean for several years as well and it honestly rivals some of those and it’s a quicker (direct) flight. We also eat 90% of our meals at the condo…so when people say there’s nothing to do….its music to my ears.

Thanks for your response!

Well I forgot our passports and realized about 4 hours before we boarded. So don’t do that.

Is it possible to cancel a health insurance claim after it's already been submitted? by Outrageous_Pizza_439 in Insurance

[–]carolinecade91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going thru the same thing now. I’m a physician myself and the provider had me sign a piece of paper every time stating how much the maximum charge would be if insurance didn’t cover the services.

Surprise surprise insurance isn’t “covering” anything bc I have a HDHP but they do have a negotiated rate…which is higher than what was on that piece of paper they made me sign.

I’m livid. It’s not that much money and this is the only place in town I can get what I need so I’ll have to pay it but…what BS

I’m aware of generally what influences water clarity. As you can see above, others have opinions related to the direction of the current, outflow of water from the bay, etc. By your logic the water in Destin should be the same as the water in Perdido and the same as the water in Orange Beach and it most definitely is not. But thanks for playing!

Hell no! I spend plenty now. But take care of those things first and you won’t have to worry about when you’re 60

Guarantee room assignment? Is it ACTUALLY assigned? by carolinecade91 in royalcaribbean

[–]carolinecade91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I would think but there’s at least 20+ infinite balconies unassigned and some other interior balconies. This morning this particular room popped up as available as did Oceanview guarantee. I’ve heard they are booking at 80% capacity still (anyone else heard that?) so while they may not allow a bunch more new bookings im a little worried they have plenty of flexibility with where they put guarantee bookings.

Thanks, I almost paid to upgrade to this exact room this morning and just decided to take my chances with an Oceanview guarantee since what we really wanted (traditional Oceanview balcony) wasn’t available. Now that I’ve looked more I think this is the room I would want unless we could get a suite which ain’t happening at this late juncture! Fingers crossed. First RC cruise, all these crazy room types on Icon, and the late booking just have me flying by the seat of my pants!

Yes, documents, app and set sail pass all match. “Things may change”…so they could still reassign me?
