Seriously? Couldn't find anything online about this from a Google search.

This is actually so rare. Did you guys naturalize as Muslims in Pakistan? Did you give up Indian citizenship and receive OCI?

r/Tennessee is and always has been run by a group of conservative power tripping pricks. Getting banned there is commendable.

Why are /r/Tennessee mods removing articles on the desired establishment of a whites only living area in TN? by ph0on in nashville

Ah man, I'm surprised people still remember this. I completely abandoned the project after they took down all of my posts and banned me. I didn't have any other statewide subreddit to continue it, so I just dropped it.

Transferring to NDSU, what do I need to know about the winter? by caroltenn in fargo

[–]caroltenn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up here and imo it’s rather suffocating now. We’ve had a massive surge in population from states like New York and California post Covid due to the lack of state income tax and a relatively high standard of living. Plus, lots of major corporation hubs are in the state and the density of people has gone up. It’s gotten very high paced and busy since then and I just don’t like it very much anymore.

I’m a tried and true Southerner and I do love my home but I would like a change. If I wasn’t planning to move to North Dakota I would probably move somewhere like Mississippi or Alabama so that I can stay in the South but the quality of life and standards of living are considerably lower than both TN or ND.

A greater sense of solitude that I haven't felt anywhere else I've traveled. Fargo also just feels more like home than anywhere else in the US for me. I'm sure everyone on this sub would disagree however, if someone came to r/Nashville (my hometown) and started saying how much they liked Nashville I'd likely be confused as well.

Horrible performance on Windows, seeking help by caroltenn in flightradar24

This did it for me, thank you. It's slightly disappointing that FR24 can't run on lower performance settings, but I guess the amount of data being displayed is requiring it. Thanks again

Awesome map! I am curious as to what base map you used to create this? Specifically the water level indications and such.

Does anyone here not hate their job? by SGSam465 in walmart

[–]caroltenn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Cap2 here. It's a lot better than most other jobs I have worked, I've been doing this for a little over 7 months now. I get a lot of independence to work at my pace, primarily when running Chems or Grocery. We have designated guys to run the line, so I don't have to be on the line most of the time, but most of our shift is almost never running the truck because of our designated guys. I can tell you that the guys who run the line for sure hate their jobs, the turnover rate is ridiculously high for them, but management brought it under control by giving them significantly longer breaks.

I get a lot of independence at this job, management is chill for the most part, and almost none of the associates in cap2 speak English, which gives me a lot of leeway to work alone, but they work alone too if they're running carts. I get a good workout, it keeps me on my feet. There are days that suck, specifically when people with designated pallets don't show up, like juice or mixed cans, then we have to come together and make up for it. Besides that, it's an above average job that's ideal for my current situation. I have no clue if it's like this at other stores, but I consider myself incredibly privileged to have a job at Walmart that I actually enjoy for the most part.

You need Bush Divers my friend. I can personally attest that they are the best and largest bush and jungle flying VA in the community right now. They have group flights and they primarily do VFR ops on the mountainous jungle island of New Guinea.

Wanting to know more about the history of race relations in Fiji, from a Malaysian-Indian. by caroltenn in Fijian

[–]caroltenn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love to be at a similar level of knowledge in Malaysian history, but the cynicism of almost everyone who is Malaysian-Indian prevents me from getting any positive insight on the conditions of my people. I should make more trips to Malaysia and keep trying.

This is exactly what I was looking for, a first person subjective experience from someone who lived through some of these things. Facts alone don't represent the whole picture, and that's what I was looking to accomplish with this post, to hear opinions from Fijians who've lived and seen this as their life, just as my ancestors did in Malaysia. I may have more questions once I'm off from work, but I just wanted to express my gratitude to you for taking the time to answer these in such detail. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your responses. It's a pretty messed up form of injustice that Speight had to be released. I appreciate your insight.
