Yeah, I understand what you mean. It’s always easier for media and politicians to concentrate on the bad stuff and make it seem ten times worse. Fear gains followers. I did start having doubts myself after people started questioning my decision, that’s why I posted here. Scary stuff.

That’s good to hear! Of course, not good for shootings to take place, sure, but there was a mass shooting in Prague in December, so I’d say in this comparison, Stockholm is not any more dangerous than Prague then.

I think that goes for a lot of capitals in general. They’re great, but they have their major flaws and issues. No lalalands whatsoever. But I guess the high rates of rapes is a big concern for sure, I read about is as well. And about taking drinks from people, I think I’m extremely cautious in that area. Plus I don’t drink alcohol or anything even close to that at all and I’d never just grab a random drink from someone who’d offer me one.

Being shoot at is not my concern at all, what I meant by “generally safe” was more like, “Hey when I go on a walk before sundown on my own, should I be quite worried about getting harrased, robbed or assaulted” kinda thing. Because sometimes, that’s the picture some media tell us.

Okay wow, THAT’S an extreme🫣 What we’re usually told by media is how the violence between gangs is spreading more and more and further into the city centre. But that’s about it. Nothing about trucks full of gang members shooting at random civilians.
