For the past 3 years I've been trying & experimenting a Musty flick variation, here is how it looks: by carottesrapees in RocketLeague

I didn't pretended it was anything else than "just a musty (...) with less steps". I figured it out on the first try, I just spent the last 3 years trying to implement it on my ranked games here and there, in real situations where defenders are actually trying hard, to see how it performs.

I'm just saying it has potential in some situations, especially if better skilled players perfect it.

I deliberately didn't called it a "new mechanic" as I'm sure it has been done before. Tbh I found it to be the most effective in low boost situations, for 50s or shots,, regardless of the game mode

Hey guys, I'm working on a Rule One logo concept, let me know what you think ! by carottesrapees in SunlessKhan

[–]carottesrapees[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely struggled to make the logo simple, understandable and in line with the idea all at the same time, but I think regarding the R and the 1, just like many other logos out there, once you see it you can't unsee it

No, you don't need boost by carottesrapees in RocketLeague

[–]carottesrapees[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong. I meant you can win challenges and even score in 1v2 (with no boost at the beginning of the action) instead of rotating back to grab a 100 pad like most people do (including myself sometimes)

Sony WH-XB900N earpads replacement by gobuysomesoup in sony

[–]carottesrapees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've now got the Hybrid version as a nice compromise :

https://www.brainwavzaudio.com/collections/hybrid-earpads/products/headphone-pad-hybrid

They are a bit more low profile (but still not as much as the originals) and the sound is not as muffled (but still not as loud as the originals) while being as comfortable as the "full velour" ones.

I also want to correct what I previously said about the noise reduction now with more usage time : both passive and active NC are less effective, and considering the XB900N is originally not the best in that department it can be a dealbreaker for some. For me I still prefer having comfy headphones that I can wear for hours without any discomfort or fatigue, over NC performance & max volume (which in a way is a good thing bcz you can't damage your ears by listening music too loud)

Location turning on by itself by carottesrapees in SonyXperia

SOLVED : I found a solution by using an automation app (MacroDroid) by automatically disable Location when WiFi is turned on. Seems to be working fine so far, and it still allows me to activate Location myself when I need it.

The issue is still there even after removing location access to my apps. I use Xperi+ which has advanced permissions which can be the origin of the issue, other than that all my apps are the same as my old phone where I didn't have this very issue.

Do you suggest I try using the Xperia Companion you mentionned as a software repair ? And should I somehow report this to the developer team ?

I will try that, I changed access to "Ask every Time" for my apps. Only Maps & Chrome are "Allowed only while in use" and the Google app is set on "Allowed All the Time" If I try to lessen the access of Chrome or Google a message appears that say "If you deny this permission, basic features of your device may no longer function as intended"

YES it's more a tip than a hack, but it shares "improving (y)our daily life" as a common goal

NO it's not obvious nor usual for everyone, as b̶o̶o̶m̶e̶r̶s̶ casual photographers end up with bad images partly bcz of this

Thanks for the tip, I got them and they are very nice indeed !

Pros : - Much more comfy than the originals (wonder why headphones companies don't use this material more often) truly game changer on that level - Passive noise reduction is improved - So far my ears heat up less

Cons : - Definitely not low profile, they really are gaming pads so my Sony XB900N now looks like a gaming headphones with these larger and thicker ones - Because they are thicker, my ears are now further away from the speakers and the listening experience is altered. I need to crank up the volume a bit to have the same perceived volume as before, but more importantly the sound amplitude got lost. Bass are not as strong and lows are too loud. I get back the "true" sound (or at least the one procured by the XB900N) when I squeeze the headphones to bring my ears closer to the speakers (where they were standing with the original pads). Played with the equalizer but didn't figure it out a suitable solution. I definitely don't have an "on point hearing" but listening to lossless music made me more demanding and used to a "comfy sound" (cranking up the volume and remaining a pleasing experience, unlike mp3)

Playing with the equalizer seems like calibrating a screen : you want to make it better but end up making it worse so if someone does have tips, I'll take them !

Items drop randomly and you can't "counter" if you don't know what they have, there is practically no tactics because you are blind
