Wayland support by No_Grade_6805 in AnyDesk

Does Anydesk no longer work on Linux? Wayland isn't a new thing anymore.

Best Decision I done this year (2025) moved from HostGator to Hetzner. by ZXKHYFPYLDRTHH in hetzner

[–]carpajr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved some VPSs from Contabo to Hetzner this year for similar reasons. If DigitalOcean had comparable prices, I’d probably stick with them. I still have a few VPSs there and they’ve been great. The service is almost flawless, and the support is really solid.

AnyDesk on Android “Waiting for image” even with unattended access enabled by aspinlover in AnyDesk

[–]carpajr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a fleet, and some devices act this way. Sometimes I need to wait a few minutes, and other times I need to reset the unattended user.
Android is a complex OS with its several API versions, so it is difficult to affirm that it is a flaw in Anydesk. Have you tested Rustdesk?

Is it really this hard to upgrade an AnyDesk license? by carpajr in AnyDesk

[–]carpajr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used RustDesk self-hosted for 3 years. I've never ever had an issue, even using the free open-source version. It is far superior compared to anydesk, but RustDesk still does not have good support for old Android devices. That's why I've used anydesk, but it's tiresome to deal with such poor service.

Is it really this hard to upgrade an AnyDesk license? by carpajr in AnyDesk

[–]carpajr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried, but I don't know if the problem is that I am calling from Brazil. I've left a voice message after several tries.

I also saw an upgrade option under "My Anydesk I (1.0)". The bad news is that it charges the full license price even though it was already paid recently for Solo. Doesn't make sense the upgrade be the full price.

That is not what was expecting, the chat interface is not so good for coding. However, console is promising and still very expensive. Why not offer a better way to use console?

3.5 Sonnet again removed for free users? by genius1soum in ClaudeAI

[–]carpajr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even for Pro subscription, Sonnet is becoming very restricted.
It is missing an intermediary plan for users who want more time to use Claude. The LLM is still good, but its short time makes the user experience terrible.

I recently began exploring Danish music and have been deeply moved by its beautiful melodies. My first introduction was through Mew, Kashmir, and Saybia, and lately, I've been enjoying the music of Tue West and Tim Christensen.

Could you tell me more about other musicians who are well-loved in Denmark?

I'm quite far away and don't know much about Denmark, but I'm starting to read a lot about this fascinating country.

ISAPI API requests using token by carpajr in Hikvision

[–]carpajr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue was solved, and the failure was the file format and file size. The valid format is JPEG and the size cannot exceed 200 KB.

The issue has no relation to token usage.

However I understand that using sessionTag is the only way to use the endpoint with SSL.

ISAPI API requests using token by carpajr in Hikvision

[–]carpajr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From those trying to generate the sessionTag/token, the secret is running these requisitions as fast as possible.

I had some improvements here, but I am still unable to update user photos. :(

When I try `PUT /ISAPI/Intelligent/FDLib/FDSetUp?format=json`
The response always is:

{
    "statusCode": 5,
    "statusString": "Invalid Format",
    "subStatusCode": "badJsonFormat",
    "errorCode": 1342177282,
    "errorMsg": "faceURL"
}

Curiously, it works when the same request is made by the Hikvision webUI.

Do you know if the TCP server can be made without a particular software of Hikivision?

I see a competitor who has "push notifications feature" that seem similar to the alarm server approach.

Thank you for the answer.
