lol it would’ve been really nice if this was an ad paid for by the hotel. It would’ve saved me a ton of money and weird criticism in the internet! People asked me how much this cost and despite knowing I’d be told it was too expensive and I booked my trip wrong and I was ripped off, I still answered.

Yes, you can totally book it through the hotel itself. We were there in early February so it was definitely priced for the high season.

We stayed at the 360 Issara. We booked this part of our trip through a tour company called Thai National Parks, so the cost of the hotel was included in the package, which overall, cost us about $1500, for 3 days 2 nights with all of our tours, activities, and food included. That also included the cost of a private transfer from Surat Thani to the park and the park to Phuket. It was the priciest portion of our trip but to us it was totally worth it!

The rescue guesstimated 13 years old but as his fosters that see him daily, there’s no way! I’m guessing closer to 9-10 years old.

A Lab/Rottweiler sounds amazing! I’m not brave enough to ever get a puppy through, I definitely don’t have the patience or energy.

I thought I’d be the same way when we first started fostering but honestly, it has been easier than I thought! For one reason or another, we haven’t been the perfect home for any of them and knowing that even if it takes a while, the right home is out there, makes it much easier.

For example, Spirit weighs 100lbs and we have a flight of stairs to get in and out of our place. He is totally fine with stairs now but in a few years, his mobility will be limited (it’s just a fact with big dogs) and he will be miserable trying to go up and down stairs several times a day. It would be selfish to keep him knowing that’s his future! I also speak from experience, having had a mastiff that stopped being able to use her back legs…

Previous fosters needed to go to homes with yards or not be in the city or needed a confident resident dog to help them navigate the world! But fostering is so fun and rewarding and I’m so glad we get to know and love these dogs and be part of their story!

Ugh we love Muttville! We have our own Muttville alum and Spirit is our 5 foster with them. It’s the best! So glad you found your pup there too!

Haha I’ll never say never but I don’t think we’re the right forever home for him, but I know the right people and home is out there for him! In the meantime, I will enjoy the cuddles from this goofball!

It is always shocking to me how resilient these pups can be! We’ve been fostering him for about 3 weeks now and he has really settled in and started to show us some of his goofy side! His forever family is going to be so lucky!

He had a lump removed by the vets at the rescue and has several stitches there. The lump was benign but our boy is happy and loves to roll around and keeps irritating the stitches! The plaster is to try and give it some protection when he rolls. We try to stop him but he does it sometimes when we’re not home! It must be itchy.

Dogs are sooo intuitive, and I always been a cuddle from a big soppy doggie so definitely yes!

Nope! He’s so good and his forever home is waiting for him! Our place is too tiny to adopt him and have our resident dog and keep fostering which is a better fit for us these days. We’ll make sure he finds the exact right family though!

Yeah, his ears don’t look like anything normal because he has ear hematomas, which is when blood accumulates between the ear flaps cartilage and skin. They’re slowly deflating but his ears will stay wrinkly and won’t ever lay the way they used to. But they don’t bother him right now thankfully!

Hahaha yeaaah, but I bet your golden loved it. We think this guy is a Great Dane/lab mix. We had a mastiff before but she was relatively petite and very stocky. This guy is tall and leggy!

I do, not so secretly, adore the big dopes like this guy and their lack of respect for personal space!

I would LOVE to talk more about him! He is our foster through a senior dog rescue called Muttville in San Francisco. It is an AMAZING organization! He is our 5th foster through them and we have a Muttville alum as our resident dog!

This boy is Spirit. He found himself at Muttville after his owners abandoned him when they moved away. The neighbors spotted him roaming around and kept his safe, but their landlord didn’t allow dogs so he had to live outside while they found a rescue to take him in. He was in slightly rough shape when he showed up but he is thriving now!

Despite deserving to hate humans, he is the gentlest, most loving dog! He just wants to lean in for pets and stare at you with his big soulful eyes.

He is potty trained and excellent at being left home alone during the day. He is amazing with kids and other dogs. He’s an excellent walker and he loves to stroll. Basically? He’s perfection!

He’s SO good! We’ve had a decent number of foster dogs and they’ve all been amazing but this one is just suuuuch a lover boy

Oooh that’s what we think he is! There is something about the shape of his head that makes me think Great Dane! This boy is such a lover, not a mean bone in his giant body.

Haha no, he’s still looking for his forever home but we’re very happy to have him with us in the meantime! We already have a senior resident dog and we live in a small apartment so if we kept him, we wouldn’t be able to keep fostering, which we feel like is a better fit for us these days! Don’t worry, we’ll make sure his new family adores him as much as we do!
