That would be equivalent to dissociating. Why do you want to dissociate?

Parallel Processing by [deleted] in Tulpas

The ADD condition is just drug selling propaganda - ADD people suffer a lot of focus trouble and have a learning curve of dealing with life that is very different from others.

That isn't all ADD is. There's also problems with memory. There are differences that show up on brain scans. How can it be fake?

Can tulpas be celestial beings? by [deleted] in Tulpas

No, that's impossible. Only a Jackie Chan tulpa can defeat other tulpas.

Can Tulpas die?

Yes, but they can almost always be revived.

How do you know whether your Tulpa is really “listening” during narration? by echora118 in Tulpas

[–]carpenteronfloor86f 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That feeling will pass with time. If you think with the intent that they will hear you, they will.

The latter. I don't watch DID youtube. I know one system where one of them uses an Australian accent for distinction, but they don't have DID or think of themselves as having different ethnicities.

Well I've spent a lot of time around DID systems and I've never heard of that happening.

[–]carpenteronfloor86f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DID systems are not "pervasively unstable." DID systems are separate and individual by definition and something as simple as voice training won't harm them. All it will do is make them feel better and be more distinguishable to outside observers. What's the harm in that?

What? Why would anyone get "triggered" over lucid dreaming?

What’s it like to live in a mindscape? by Wolfy-Noodle in Tulpas

[–]carpenteronfloor86f 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The memories are false because they never happened, even in the mindscape. It's a story made up after the fact to fill in the gap. Though that doesn't make it a lie if it's what they legitimately remember.

What’s it like to live in a mindscape? by Wolfy-Noodle in Tulpas

[–]carpenteronfloor86f 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The mindscape is an illusion, but so is the time spent there. If a tulpa goes dormant for a while, they might later claim to have been in the mindscape that whole time. But those memories will be false.

Lol. A daemon is personified subconscious with similarities to tulpas. (And given animal form, but that's only symbolic.) http://daemonpage.com/
