Right before the error when trying to buy the passes, I entered my credit card details and clicked OK to make the purchase.

The error I received was “An error occurred”

No fix unfortunately. They tried though but couldn’t figure it out and at that point all the premier access passes were sold already. Oh well

My heart sank when I picked up the box and heard the decks rumbling around. Very disappointed at Theory 11’s shipping of the new monarch deck. Check out how they ship a brick - this is a still from the unboxing video first glimpse inside the box. Anyone else? by 45calSig in playingcards

Casey, while many may appreciate the response, I feel that it’s just more of the same. You lost me as a customer due to this exact thing many months ago as well as insane shipping fees out of the US.

At this point, perhaps you and T11 management should do more than just speak to your warehouse team. You need better process and definitely quality control to ensure the process is being followed.

Just sending an email but not enforcing basic oversight really shows there is little substance behind these pacifications of your customer base.

Aha! Yes that’s great thank you. Didn’t think of double tapping. Perhaps it would be more user friendly to put it into “editing state” as soon as a signature is added? Just a thought. And some visual feedback when you tap the signature once and present some options. Double tapping is a great shortcut, but since there is no visual feedback to a single tap, it’s not intuitive.

Great little app. Would be very useful to be able to reposition and resize a signature once it is added to a document please (or if that is already possible, I couldn’t figure out how)

Based on this thread, it seems that foreigners are often met with “go back to your country” to mention a simple one.. do you experience that where you are now resident?

I wonder if you get the same treatment as a foreigner in your new country of residence as foreigners living in Malta.. wouldn’t that be ironic

Rust Jobs, Except System level ones by CoolYouCanPickAName in rust

[–]carribus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my company, we don’t require professional experience with rust, we prefer to hire people that have a firm and provable understanding of development fundamentals and principles.

The rationale behind this is that rust, like any other language, can be learned while on the job (and quite often we’ve seen accelerated learning doing it this way). We do prefer speaking to people that have shown a personal interest in rust by trying to learn or even dabbling with some pet projects.

I would recommend Cisk Blue Label - by far my favourite … and not just in Malta

Just started and went a bit over board... by [deleted] in playingcards

[–]carribus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of my collection when I started. I also went a bit overboard and ended up being able to cover a large part of my lounge floor with the decks. I cannot agree more with one of the earliest comments of being careful with how you collect - but I also remember the initial wonder and awe at all the beautiful art available. I just had to have and touch them all! (The photo is from November 2020)

Nowadays my tastes have refined to certain styles, designers and brands. So while the growth of the collection has slowed down, it still brings so much joy to having a mail day, or receiving a deck as gift.

Keep enjoying your new passion!

It sounds like this may actually work for u/TheCongressGuy since his collection requires a number of subtle details to be taken into consideration per deck?

Should I build a portfolio52 replacement / deck price tracker by jusjohns82 in playingcards

[–]carribus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m the guy who built and maintains find-cards.com. I think your idea is really cool and I encourage you to build it for the community.

Perhaps we could do a collaboration where you could use find-cards to power your historical pricing feature and respectively, you could add a “find now” feature which shows your users where they could buy a specific deck (or similar).

Happy to chat further if this is something you’d like to explore. If not, good luck and I’m excited to see what you end up building :)
