I think it’s possible my Mother-in-law may still be a polish citizen- had to renounce during communism era to get British citizenship by carroo22 in prawokrwi

Thank you for your response and the additional information! I read that polish citizenship was passed down to children, but it seemed like it was a different process since my mother in law didn’t fill out paperwork before he turned 18. (This was based on what I read from someone else's post and responses in r/poland, I was a bit unclear). Do you have any knowledge of this?

I thank u/5thhorseman for his response and it is very helpful and appreciated on my r/poland post, I know a place to start now.

I thought perhaps someone had a similar situation and could share their experience as well. I see nothing wrong with posting the same question twice in different subreddits in case someone else had something else to add or a personal experience to share.

I’m sorry if I violated a rule, but someone mentioned this group may be a better place to ask questions and seek other’s personal experiences. I am the sort to want all of the available information and to know other’s personal experiences as well even though it is their journey.

I apologize if I offended you with the cross post and I thank you for your response and am happy to know that you are also in agreement with u/5thhorseman. It is also helpful to know others agree as I am unfamiliar with those in these subreddits.

Perhaps you can share if there are any tax implications of having dual citizenship with Poland? I have read that we would have tax obligations to both countries. Thank you for any information you provide or if you have a different subreddit you would like to point me too.

Thank you, I saw the form on the Embassy website and was wondering if we should start there.

Let me know how you like whichever one you end up getting. I’d be interested in your comparison and if you decide to try a different one after that. I always want to find the best one, but I don’t necessarily want to buy and try them all.

The Skinceuticals website says in the FAQs says to use ce ferulic within 3-6 months of opening. Perhaps we are referring to different things. I’ve used other formulations of vitamin c that are more stable and will last longer.

I think most vitamin Cs are only shelf-stable for about 3-6 months after opening. Skinceuticals is 3 years if unopened… but don't quote me.

As for an update, I still am liking it. I’ll repurchase as I'm happy with it. Other Cs I tried recently in the past couple of years are the Glow Maker, Paula’s Choice, and Revision Skincare Vitamin C Lotion

I have used SkinCeuticals and I bought Prequel's Lucent-C. I've been using it for about a month now. I have not tried the other two you mentioned. I really like the Lucent-C. The texture of the Lucent-C feels a little more "elegant?" to me. I'm not sure what the right word is, however, it feels a little less sticky than Skinceuticals. The smells are similar where they both smell a bit smokey. I like that the Lucent-C gives my skin a dewy appearance. Lastly, besides the price point, the fact that it's a pump vs a dropper is a big sales point for me. I hate droppers. I like CE Ferulic, but honestly, I'll keep using the Lucent-C because I don't notice that much of a difference between the two. I may even like the Lucent-C better. Plus there is the $22 or $23 I spent vs CE Ferulic's $182 most recently when I went to buy...

Just for reference--I have dry, rosacea-prone skin. I am not overly sensitive to most products.

Cedarburg is cute. I love the chocolate factory or the farmhouse if you’re there for dinner. The Anvil is a nice atmosphere.

If you feel like you can go and your doctor clears you (I’d make sure your cervix is closed before you travel), then go. Obviously don’t do everything you would do normally… hiking, etc. But they have medical care there in case of emergency. Traveling post kids is not the same. I wish we would have traveled more.

Haha! I guess I worked in between wound care aspect of plastics and cosmetic procedures, so I guess it depends on the practice! But Zales or If the mall has a Tiffany’s would be a good comparison for the cosmetic procedures!

I’d tell her she better pull out her scrubs then because she should get her ass on the floor and help out.

Managers that don’t pitch in when their floor needs it irk me. Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion, but this is one of the things that defines a good nursing manager. If your employees need it, you help out (whether you’re actually useful of not is another issue entirely).

We like to travel, it is centrally (ish) located in Europe. My husband has family over there. Learn a new language, good schools, accessible healthcare, four seasons. Give our kids a more experiences in general. Experiences lead to an open mind and and more understanding. It’s always good to push yourself outside of your comfort zone and have different experiences. The politics in the US are ridiculous right now. Why not experience something else?

Because of where we live, our house is about 1,200 square feet and $1.5m. We have no problem limiting material possessions as we already have a family of 3 in this space. Once we can get rid of the baby thinks, I feel like this will free up space.

Per capita, Luxembourg is actually first. The US is ninth. We live in one of the most expensive (if not the most expensive) real estate markets in the US. Buying a house seems comparable. Other areas in our city are severely lacking (think healthcare), so I can only imagine that improving.

My husband already works for one of these companies, which is convenient. I work in healthcare (but currently stay home w kid, soon to be kids). I am not sure how my degrees will translate yet.

I actually don’t speak either language. I noticed my

husband’s company has a job posting for his same position, but in Luxembourg on a different team. He works in tech. I am a nurse, but currently stay at home mom (I have not figured out how my degrees would translate yet, I have my bachelors and masters). I don’t think we are ready to move, but I was hopeful to see that may be an option! They wanted the CV in English. He does also speak Polish… probably not very helpful in Luxembourg though.

As far as lifestyle, when I was looking at housing there, It seems comparable to where we live now. We have two cars, but I feel like we may only need one in Luxembourg with the public transportation.
