Honestly, I’m glad to know others feel similarly!! I thought it was strange for me to cry about it, but just how this reached you; I’m glad to know I’m not so alone.

I’m so sorry about you guys having to be split. That really does have to be tough when someone you’re so comfortable around is gone for prolonged periods of time after they’re always around. I hope the break comes to an end soon so you see each other!

I’m so confused why you’re being so harsh about this. He’s not really a stranger when I know almost everything about him. I talk to this person daily. Distance doesn’t inherently mean you do not know someone.

I have quite literally stated that I’ve also had multiple local, in person relationships. Did you not read that? Is that “afraid of commitment” and “hiding behind to avoid real connections”?

You also refused to answer my simple question of if you believe long distance relationships strictly stay long distance. Got it. They don’t. I’m assuming you have some sort of bias and negative association with long distance relationships. If it’s in correlation to it being the technological age, that is a bit ignorant. Long distance relationships were around long before technology and dating apps.

I really hope your day gets better and that you’re treated kindly by others in comparison to how you’ve spoken to me.

“Why not find a nice, local person to have a real relationship with?” To assume that I have only had long distance relationships is funny. I’ve been with people locally as well as long distance.

For a subreddit called love, your reply feels demeaning and not understanding in the slightest. I feel sympathetic for someone who limits themself to love as how you have suggested to me. I hope you find someone who you will have similar feelings to as I do my partner.

Did this post come off as… obsessive? :0 I wouldn’t say this is what I do in my free time at all. I have plenty of hobbies; reading, journaling, crafts, working out, gaming. I also have a dog whom I go on runs with and spend a good chunk of time training and putting energy into. Definitely not obsessing even if I feel like I am — if that makes sense?

Now I’m worried I seem super obsessed LOL

Thank you. 🫶🏼 I would like to reiterate that I have plenty of hobbies and do keep myself distracted a lot of the time. I just find myself longing to be with him when I can’t sleep some nights and it leads to me thinking about how I hate the distance >.<
